Hello everyone
I have one idea through which you can save money from the electricity bill as we ate using many electrical appliances like most of us use water pump for getting plenty of water, so some time what happen that people buy some heavy power consuming water pump all though they do not require such power full machine but for getting excess of water they buy them so we should take care of this thing on buying pump in this way you will save some money from the electricity bill.0 -
Hi Everyone! Hope the saving is going well.
I heard a good tip from a friend of mine who is also a saver, ( I didnt know ha!). He said that it's best to save a fixed amount each month. So if it's either £50 a month, £200 a month, etc. The rest of it is best just having fun and enjoying yourself. I for one more or less agree with this. The balance between work and play has to be even. Why save every last penny and not live your life? I still save £200 a month ,but this isnt going up anytime soon. I'm sticking with this as this is the amount i save without missing. So if your worrying about going out on weekends, cinemas, etc. Just go for it and don't worry about saving. It doesn't matter if you save £10 or £100 your still saving..as tesco say, "every little helps".
Thanks for reading.Ryan0 -
I agree with previous suggestion regarding saving a lit bit and spending a lit bit. However at times when u want to fast track on the savings front, u may have to do without for a short while and then regain the balance . . . .dont u agree?? Thats wat am doing at the moment - knowing that i wont have to go without 4eva motivates me :jHow Much can you save -£6038/£10000

Morning everyone.
I have managed to save £600 this month. What a difference it makes not having to pay the mortgage. By the end of the year we should have a reasonable safety net which is vital as I do not get paid whilst off sick and I have an ongoing back problem.
Hope you are all enjoying this lovely weather. I am inside settling down to watch the Grand Prix
Come on Lewis, you can do it.

I close out my June 2011 with a house deposit savings kitty of £4600.23 :T
Not bad considering I have just started saving this tax year. My ISA is nearly full and I have started buying premium bonds. (won £25 already!) I have an expensive few months ahead of me with holidays and day trips galore (including eurodisney and legoland...) I may be forced to spend far too much but will then be back on track for september (after I buy all the back to school stuff!!!)
That's about all for now though. I plan to save loads more in the future months. I hope to reach £9000 by christmas...fingers crossed I hit my target.
well done to everyone else for the great totals :beer:Make £/day March: £1490.85 / £310

Hi all,
Just been spending sometime reading some of these threads, and I need some good advice on the best saving accounts and how to make moneywork for it self while it's sitting in the bank.
My nephew had an accident last year and is getting paid out 25,000 anytime soon just waitng to sign the final acceptance letter. He is now 21yrs old and is was studing at college until his road accident, but mad a good recovery. I would like him to do something good with his money as he is given a start now to invest. What about stock & shares, The best ISA, please help as I feel this money could be wasted if I don't know these answers. Hopefully he will get himself on the property ladder at some point. Not sure what the amount is for a deposit on a property. Help.0
