Ah! A bit of spending at the moment ..... I've been good for about a month but some of it I could not help (some of it I could)
Enroled in college today to do a GCSE course, so it gets me all ready for University next September. Had to pay £41 for materials ... train ticket cost £9.10 which I'll have to pay one day a week.
And, I brought myself a new college bag for £12! I had another one but you know .....I could not help it ....

One saving tip that you can implement in your daily life is to cut unnecessary spending from your budget. If your goal is to buy a home, you have to eliminate needless spending—such as excessive entertainment or shopping sprees—and put that money toward your future home.
One of the best things that you can do in order to save more money is to to take control of your money. You can do this by setting up different bank accounts for the different spending aspects of your life.
By following the Save More Money Template, you can implement it easily without having to do any of the thinking for yourself or worry that you've missed anything.0 -

I'm in my mid-20s, graduated and have just started working this month. I'm on around £31k per annum. I have already saved £21k and would like to save more. I don't have any targets set yet. Is it better to have a target as i just try to watch my spending as thats how I have been brought up.
Happy saving.:D
I'm now thinking of getting into shares/investments etc or is that too soon for me? I'm also about to bign financial spread betting with shares/stocks.0 -

Nothing to report really as I'm in the process of switching my ISA to get a better rate as the current one is about to go down a fair bit in October. I've got £145 set aside to put in the new ISA though once it's all been set up and transferred though, so pleased with that (and that will make £5,145 in the ISA and £9,895 in total savings with the bond but won't update the sig until it's all official).ISA savings: £25,139 Other Savings: £1750 (tied up in bond)0

Managed to put £1500 into my savings this month which makes my savings £59,500, so now just £500 short of £60K. Have some unexpected expenses coming out next month, so probably won't reach my £65K target by January 2011. Still going in the right direction though. Hope it keeps going this waySavings [STRIKE]£54,000[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£58,000[/STRIKE] £59,500 - Target £65,000 (31st Jan 2011)0
