Yeah, you get alot for your money in Turkey. Me and my mate are going to Turkey and its costing about £500 each, all inclusive 5 star hotel, right in the middle of easter! It looks really nice. I'm really looking forward to it.

Just renewed my car insurance and saved about £130 on current insurers. I was a bit miffed that when I did a comparison quote my current company(Budget) was quoting about £90 less than my renewal notice. I should have changed last year but probably laziness set in. You're doing so well and I agree with hostie1985 that you're well on track to at least meet the £40k target!ISA savings: £25,139 Other Savings: £1750 (tied up in bond)0 -

ThanksI did treat myself to a few bits last month, the girls on the fashion thread are a bad influence!!! But they were all cheap and beautiful and my eBaying more than offset it. I must list more stuff actually, it's been going well so far and OH is delighted to see the back of some clutter! I'm still aiming to make £1,000 on eBay this year (probably a bit ambitious but we'll see)!
Still not looking to buy a house yet, there's nothing which I would call good value for money atm and anyway I am half tempted to move out of the city a little to get more space (and garden) for our money! What about the rest of you deposit savers? Do you have one target area or several, or are you undecided about where to buy?
We'll keep saving anyway so that we have as big a deposit as possible, I would like a 30% deposit if we can manage it.Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

I'm so far off where I want to be that I've not had any proper thoughts about it but ideally, I'd like to stay in the area where we (me and my parents) are currently living. Realistically, that's probably overly ambitious as it's not the cheapest area so I'll probably have to re-assess once I finally hit a decent deposit amount.ISA savings: £25,139 Other Savings: £1750 (tied up in bond)0 -

I'm up to £4,600 now in the ISA (£9,600 in total) so getting there slowly. I'm hoping to break the £5k/£10k marks in the next month or two but a lot will depend on how much freelance work I get and whether I get paid on time.ISA savings: £25,139 Other Savings: £1750 (tied up in bond)0
