    Hi All....Everyone should read this!!

I've been getting a 3% per month, tax free, on my savings since September 2009.
The company, Cherries Network.com, has been around since 2004, it taps into the
£400,000,000 per week turnover of the sports trading system.

They are regularly adding new accounts, the latest offers a guaranteed 5% per month return, tax free (there is now a waiting list for this as it's prooved so popular),I think everyone should know about this.....small savers and big investors alike.
It highlights just how stingy the banks are being with our money.

Take a look at- cherries network .com ? affiliate = RichardD (close all gaps)
or you are welcome to email me - rick and lesley @ hotmail co. uk (close all gaps) to ask more.

P.S. We were able to have a Christmas holiday on the Red Sea just on the interest of our savings. We've now put our ISA money into it, it's a no brainer for us.

Berkshire? I live near there, so be careful, if I ever see you, I will batter you with a tin of spam.

Vixstar - I'm doing the same, saving for a house deposit using my ISA, then taking it all out when we go for the mortgage (around June we think). Really going to miss saving, but can't see how I can put much for than £50 a month away after we get the house :(

Just popping in to update my sig...... I now have £16,160.65 in savings! I am glad I have gone through the £16,000 mark, that should be a 15% deposit for a half decent 1 bed flat round my way - but going to keep saving for the moment.

As you can tell from my name I have NEVER had any savings. I was a few grand in debt a copule of years ago but that was paid off.

Although I don't have any debts now I also don't have any savings :(

I'll be reaching the big 30 this year so it's spurred me on to want to start saving. I've been so inspired by reading all your posts.

I've just one question though, how on earth do you manage to save so much each month? Once I've paid my mortgage, car and petrol costs and food for the month, I've barely 2 pennies to rub together!!! Any advice or tips greatly appreciated.

Would love to have £1000 saved by 31 December 2010 :j

    Have you done an SOA?

Fill this in, post it either in Budgeting sub forum or the Debt Free Wannabe sub forum and you can get some tips on where you can cut down. Food is a biggun, some people spend £200 a month on food between 2 people, this can be cut down to £100-£150 easily.

Some of us are also quite young so live at home, or have student loan coming, no children or pets to look after, so it is easier for us

As for me, finished Feb on target. Payday on Monday so looking forward to that.

I am also home last 2 weeks or March over beginning of Easter, should be good as I budgeted a normal month, whereas I won't be driving to work and Mum will be cooking me all my food (yey!).

My ISA matured last week and I am transferring it and this years to a fixed rate, only 3.05% but until I finish uni and have all my ISAs consolidated I just want to put it away at a rate earning something and not have to worry.

Don't know how much interest I got though as it was a postal ISA! Will find out next week though :) should be able to add a couple of £100 onto my target.
  • After being stuck around the 50% mark since October, I've finally managed to make some progress. Another 2% towards my target.
Target Cash Net Worth: £25K by January 2012
    Progress
    May-08
    19.0%; May-09 40.0%; May-10 63.0%; May-11 58.4%; Jun-11 58.5%; Jul-11 58.9%; Aug-11 58.7%; Sep-11 59.0%
  • You can save a lot if you have made a proper financial plan which includes your monthly budget, earning and expenses. By following this plan and keeping a track on your expenses, you can save a considerable amount of money. I would also like to suggest you to register yourself with a money management application where you would be able to manage your finances more easily and efficiently. I am using manageME7 for managing my finances anytime and anywhere.
