Work in progress...Update coming July 2012.
  • I'm really sorry if this sounds mean.. I really don't like it when people are rude on these forums. But... minidanni you keep repeating the same thing about what the bank said on their letter when they sent you your bank card and you also have a post elsewhere on MSE about your issue.

I'm sure your bank will sort it out...

can someone post something motivational please.

p.s I've been stuck on the same amout (savings) for months, i'm guessing this is due to car payments but they will stop in the next few months so I should be able to get past that.

Yea i posted it on where other people had fraud, and on here as i used to post here.

I always give the advice if you don't like a post ignore and and move on ?

You write reviews (at least 150 words, but preferably more than that) and get the equivalent of 50p per review plus I think around the equivalent of 1.5p per member who reads your review. Your rewards are in points (DooYooMiles) so I'm not 100% on the conversions into real money but I think that's about right. It's not going to make us rich but a nice extra for cheques and Amazon vouchers (you need the equivalent of £20 in your account for an Amazon voucher).

:rotfl:, I know what you mean, but I also I understand the urge to keep writing about it when you go through something like that as it just helps talking about it, well .. typing? :D!

true helps get the stress out:(

What sort of car payments do you mean by ?

    hire purchase ? insurace ?

Not that it will matter, anyway

when i was paying up my car hire puchase, it was £382.82 per month. It was over 2 years starting June 2008.

My basic wage is £800 a month, so i thought of it as "thats half my wage every month for the next couple years" but before i got the car, i planned on clearing it asap.

I done overtime ever month, spent as little as i could and what was left after the direct debt, was put in a savings account untill there was enough to pay of my car early

Its a review website, you just have to write about things (pretty much anything lol!) and read and rate other peoples reviews so that they rate yours, and you can earn cash or amazon vouchers!
Let me knowby pm if u want to join cos I think I could refer ya!
  • And let me know when you've posted a review, and I'll rate it :)

DooYoo is great. I haven't the patience to get to 50,000 miles though, to get the cash reward - I go for the Amazon voucher (£20 voucher = 20,000 miles). I'm not on there much, as I try to only review when I've really got something to say... so basically I only review things I love or hate, nowadays.

I've added £197 to the ISA so far this month, so it should be over the £200 mark by the end of the month. I know it sounds like small fry but January and February are typically bad months for me (as a freelancer) so I'm just glad to have been able to add something to the savings pot!
