    Welcome to the thread! :D

£6k is a great amount to have saved, especially at 21. I'm only a year older than you and have around £9k saved now but I'm been saving for around 4 years now to have that amount. It sounds like you're doing really well considering you only started saving recently.

Saver9713 - My year-end goal was quite modest and it only really involved adding around £2k to the ISA so it's not really as great an achievement as it sounds! Good luck with your year-end goal :D
ISA savings: £25,139 Other Savings: £1750 (tied up in bond)

thanks, its been really hard as i used to use my money booking holidays to LA, or spend on rubbish like i used to spend around £6 a week on magazines. Then just random amounts on rubbish i saw.

Now i tell myself i can't have it, unless i really need it !

This is the best i have did, i bought a mini, which was £10,000 paid it of in march, now i have £6,000 saved :)

also my work you get time and a half on sundays so since the summer i started doing every sunday all day, and get around an extra £300 a month

i bought it a year past april, my loan is ment to be finishing next june but i done loads of overtime to pay it of quicker :) The place i bought my mini from i would never want anyone to go there again, evil people. It was my first loan, basically i wanted a black mini, i went with my parents, sat for about half an hour going over the black mini, then to be told it was sold. They said to make up for it if i took the blue one they would include 3 extras i can't even remember what they were it was like warranty etc, also the car was only 3years old so i didn't really need it but my dad was like take it, its a good offer. I kept saying its a black mini i want. in the end i took it.

When i signed it it had all the 3 extras and their prices, all the extras came to £800, the salesman said ignore the prices they have to be there to show the value, so i believed him and signed.

It wasn't untill january this year i sent of for my settlement, i thought it sounded to much, i worked it i still had £800 to save, then i realised arnold clark never gave the extras to make up for the black mini.

I have since been to arnold clark loads of times, they say they would never offer this sort of thing, i have spoke to some place someone told me which arnold clark need to have their lience to sell cars, and some of those reader champions like daily record and sunday mail, they said its my word against theirs, even though my parents were there.

I keep emailing/phoning arnold clark, they said they will delete/ignore me from now on.

So yes i landed myself a different colour and an extra £800 to pay.

Sorry for the big long story.

anyway, i get around £800 normal pay, but when i do sunday pay i get around £1100, or if i just do sunday mornings i get about £1000
