How much can you save?

I'll be putting in as much as I can in the new tax year, then topping it up regularly until it's full. Then the surplus for the rest of the year will go into a regular saver, ready for the following year's ISA. By doing this each year and saving more I may eventually be in a position to max out a future ISA from the outset :TNever mind the house prices, I'm saving a deposit.
[STRIKE]£20,000[/STRIKE] £15,100.82 still needed - 24.50% saved so far!
Buying and moving costs: £3-5k - will save this after the £20k
Aiming to buy my own place by the end of 20110 -
I'm the same as born again saver, as much as I can as soon as I can. I'm not yet in the position to max it out in april yet but i'd like to be there in about 3 years time or so... I got about half way this year and i'm pretty impressed with myself!!! And there is still another payday before isa day too0

Stacy, for me personally, I have been in debt ever since I started working back in '95 and got my first credit card!! Debt at £10k at it's highest
and I've never been able to save during that time until I recently sold my house for a tidy profit - Now I am able to save hence I also have the lump sums to fill an isa up.

Another Isamus Maximus here
I save more than £3k a year, so always have enough to put away on 5th April. Conveniently enough, I save exactly this amount in my Halifax Regular Saver, which matures March 27th each year - just in time to shift it into the next year's ISA (it was even more convenient when my ISA was with Halifax but then it became really uncompetitive).
I need to re-evaluate my ISA savings though. I opened a new one last year with Egg, the year before went with NS&I and have about £27k with Yorkshire Building Society. I'm tempted to give the whole lot to Icesave.
I always approach mid-March to the beginning of April with some trepidation - I'm excited about the new ISAs but also dread the inevitable delays in opening/transferring accounts. Last year I learned a valuable lesson: never go with Barclays!!!

I tend to max it instantly in April.
