Your house work sounds like mine, my technique is more random wandering though with a vague early goal! I go into a room to return an item, spot something, get distracted and start new job, then whilst doing that, think Ill just put this back, return different item, get distracted.. and so on, till I have started many jobs all over the place but not actually finished any of them!

If im focused, i just dump all random kids droppings on stairs until each step is hard to navigate, then tell kids theyve got 5 minutes or the whole lots going in the dustbin. Bizarrely it works everytime.

Em, yes. That's why my cleaner achieves more in 2 hours than I do in the rest of the week :rotfl:.

I want a cleaner... Currently pay kids £5 each a week to do set chores on Sunday, So we are cleaning at same time. Then by lunchtime sunday, the house doesnt look like it has squatters.

Have work mates who have them, but they all clean up before they come ??!!?? I keep hoping that some of those merry maids will blitz my house when on holiday, that would be great. Know someone who used to arrange that whilst away.

Last year when we were away it was mid renovation, I came back to all new windows, a new roof but no boiler (therefore no hot water or heating) unfortunately couldnt do anything about boiler for 2 weeks as was having gas supply moved, so had to split hol wash between MIL and my parents...shame

I tidy up befoe cleaner comes - not because I'm ashamed - I've known her & her family 25 years - but because I want her to spend her time cleaning, not picking up discarded teatowels etc. She is a gem :kisses3:.

Yes, I do the same but not for the same reason... it's more because I can't find things if my cleaner puts them away!!
