Well, tumble dryer ordered
. £216 inc delivery from Very (can't believe that was cheapest place!), 7% cashback with TCB, buy now pay in 9 months
.
The Paper Gremlins are back in the study . What's worse, they've let their dodgy cousins, the Cardboard Gremlins and General Stuff Gremlins, into the garage . Off to tackle shortly. Supposed to be meeting friends for lunch, if I don't turn up please come and rescue me (though if the Gremlins have progressed to the drinking and singing New York stage, leave me be).
Will be booking holidays later.
Will worry about money afterwards. May compromise and get Mr GG to feed the regular savers, or may stop being so stupid and just accept Dec
.
Off to see bessie mate tomorrow, she's moving from 7 hours away to only 90 mins away, going to help her unpack.
Mr GG playing golf as usual, but at 9am instead of 7.40. We were still in bed at 7.40 :T:T:T:T. Yippee :T:T:T:T. Has put me badly behind though, but worth it.
Happy Saturday everyone.

Good-oh for tumble drier:T Before gas-guzzler-car bill:eek: I was contemplating buying condenser drier - hate, hate, hate having to dry clothes indoors on airers, especially when bedding and towels:(
Do you mind me asking if the V*ery one is a condenser?
NP:DFebruary13 - £74990 (or thereabouts)
MND - Let's go for 2020 'cos it's got a nice ring to it:D

So, tumble dryer decision.....All I wanted was a white TD, cheap to run, condenser, with a delayed start. Oh, and cheap obviously
. More complicated than expected (isn't it always.......).
Turns out A ratings are not the only thing to be taken into account. They show energy usage per kwh, but some machines dry faster than others, so one rated a C can cost less to run than a B if it dries quicker. So, ended up thinking 'sod it' and picked the cheapest one which looked like it was cheap to run - based on sust-it.net. Have ended up with a Beko DCU7230, cheap and cheerful but seems to have good reviews and only needs to last 4 years . 7kg load which will be fine as only me & DS most of the time, and current one is only 6kg.
Decided against tackling the garage. a) it's raining so don't want to go to [STRIKE]tip[/STRIKE] civic amenities recycling centre and b) may as well wait till TD arrives and I can take old one down, plus all packaging. Will be tackling study instead . Eventually.

Thanks GG - it has great reviews (and free delivery which is a total bonus!) so will probably bite the bullet and order after eb*y ends. C'mon eb*y momma needs a new tumble drier:rotfl:
Also it will force me to tidy/clear utility room.......maybe today.....maybe.....February13 - £74990 (or thereabouts)

Oh great, now I have to bear the burden of guilt form someone else's purchase. What if it is useless . What if it breaks . I didn't get free delivery????????
Forgot to say got notified of payrise on Thursday. Such a non-event it slipped my mind :rotfl:. Let's just say that after tax I'll struggle to pay for the tumble dryer in 9 months time. Over the last 3 years I've had a 40% rise (promoted to senior role), then 2.5k 2 years running (obviously the 40% rise still left me poorest paid on the grade ), so back to reality
. I can't moan too much - I had a pot of 6k to divide between 15 people so I know how little money there was. The standard rise was £300 and I totally smashed that with mine :rotfl:. Hey ho.

Awww - I thought you had said free delivery, however with further scrutiny of your post you had in fact said inc delivery.
So, looking at the cost £209 (minus a credit order bonus of 10%) (add on £6.95 delivery) go through TCB at 7.07% that should equal, in total for me................somewhere in the region of less than £209. I HATE MATHS!!!!!! PS. I appear to have to pay for mine over 3 months:huh:
Well done on the payrise - you should treat yourself to a wee house:DFebruary13 - £74990 (or thereabouts)

You have got the better deal as you have got the 10% off.I chose to wait and pay in 9 months so didn't get that.

To be fair, I could NOT buy a new tumble dryer, NOT book holiday and NOT book flights and pay off in Nov. So, slap myself and get over it
.
Tumble dryer bought
Jan holiday booked, even splashed out extra on an upgraded room as there was an extra £75 off
Easter flights booked
Need to get over it now
Lovely meal with friends today
Night night

I need to find the reset button on my body clock . Wide awake and up between 3.30 and 5.30 - so was Mr GG . Couldn't really get back to sleep but sleepy now
.
Inspired by Tilly's Xmas enthusiasm I have reluctantly accepted it will be happening (would be much cheaper if only every 4 years, like the Olympics). Started to think about what to buy and even looked for a few things. Ho ho ho :xmassign:. More importantly, have decided what I would like :snow_laug.
Also inspired by Tilly (that woman has a lot to answer for ) am off to do a freezer inventory/meal plan :rotfl:.A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Ooh GG, another spreadsheet for you to twiddle with
Tilly x x2004 £387k 29 years - MF March 2033:eek:
2011 £309k 10 years - MF March 2021.
Achieved Goal: 28/08/15 :j0
