  • Now calm down GG, there's no need to go mad on the OP front :rotfl:

Sorry to hear you're still poorly - meeting tomorrow sounds like fun when you are feeling ropey. Meeting them back to bed sounds like a plan.

15' is a hell of a lot, so there must be more light some where.

    Best wishes Tilly

I nearly cried :( It is a bit brighter, I was just worried it was getting too big, there wasn't really a light issue. It still makes a noise in the wind though :).

Hope you are feeling better I sometimes think its better to stay in bed and get over this sort of thing instead of soldering on and it takes so much longer to get better.

Slimming World, Weight Watchers etc are all a bit of a mystery to me but I know several of my friends have had great success with SW. Since I completely stopped drinking I have really felt the difference. I do miss it but really not as much as I thought I would.

I really don't want to go but it is part of a disciplinary process (not mine :o) so it's important. Feel worse this morning though .

    Payday :j.

No money to pay on own BTL though :(. Still, £900 knocked off debt to Mr GG, now 'only' 59k so that is a big change :T.

Oops. Accidentally found a house to do up on RM last night :o. Fortunately Tilly talked me out of it - NOT . In the cold light of day I have absolutely no intentions of staying in this country and getting up at 5.30 any longer than I have to, so that's ok then .

    Happy Friday everyone :D.

    GG x

GG The house was a wreck, stay away from it, no going to see it over the weekend

Imagine each roof tile as a jug of Sangria you wont be drinking in SUNNY Spain

I think it was the hot toddys that caused the problem in the first place :D.

    So. Shall I:
    a) go and see and fall in love with wreck. Buy it. Spend the next x number of years living in 1/2 a wreck while I learn what I can/can't do with a Grade 2 listed building. Try to get planning permission to alter house to how I want it and also rebuild the other bit of it that is falling down. Freeze in the meantime and don't move to Spain when planned, carry on getting up at 5.30 indefinitely, or
    b) carry on as planned and have the very occasional thought of 'wouldn't that have been nice' as I sit on my terrace in Spain with my 99c red wine.

    Hmmmmm, difficult one :rotfl:.

    pumpkins.......

Bought 2 for £2 from Asda which has resulted in:
    - 2 sided lantern courtesy of DS & gf
    - 7 portions of pumpkin curry
    - 1 pot of pumpjin & spinach soup, without doubt the most disgusting looking soup I have ever made. Fortunately it tastes good :rotfl:
    - 4 portions of spicy lamb & pumpkin casserole
    - roast pumpkin
    - a big chunk left over for more roast pumpkin

Glad I gave DS the big one :D. If Jesus had one of these along with his loaves and fishes he would still be dishing up now :o.

In less exciting news - have had a letter from late mum's pension people saying they carried on paying her pension for 4 months after she died. Obviously I wasn't aware of this, but it looks like I have had the money. Can't understand how I didn't realise it :o. Before computer crashed I did find my copy letter I had sent them, filed in my 'done' folder but I got rid of a lot of correspondence a little while ago (mum died in 2008). Looks like I will have to cough up nearly £1600 :(. Won't be paying them it in one go though. Will send DS up in the loft to retrieve all boxes just in case I can find something.......
