Gutted it's not blue, however the fluffy towels are much appreciated as will save any unnecessary Lady Tena spends:D

Well, 1st of the month,. mortgage payments have gone out but BSoc haven't updated balance. How rude .

Also rent not in from tenant who pays on 1st (am sure it will be there later, she is v good) so can't make an OP :(.

Somehow managed to lose council tax off my spreadsheet so picture is a bit more  than I thought. What I need is a nice holiday where I don't spend anything out of the normal housekeeping budget :rotfl:. Cue very detailed shopping lists..... though had planned on buying a big bucket of washing tablets from ebay but at £16 I can't justify it. Will wait till we visit friends oop north as then I can collect - seller is a few miles from them.

Nearly the weekend - thank goodness - still feel like a pile of poo, but marginally smaller one ;).

GG, what would your reaction be to a tenant who wanted a dog? They've offered to pay extra deposit
    Updating soon...
  • Wow things have been busy in here! I like to bulk buy toilet paper. I spend about £20 on 70-80 toilet rolls that last me forever as it's just me who uses them mainly. I spent £9 on washing tablets recently and got about 50 i think.

When you don't have a car you have to plan ahead. I would not fancy traipsing through Manchester city centre with toilet rolls and other heavy objects!

Hopefully when i join City Car Club when i've had my licence for a year (come on February!!) i can drive and be able to buy more tins etc in my weekly shop.

Gone on a bit of a tangent here but oh well.

If they offered extra I would say yes (but probably check out size!!!). Sounds like they are settled which is great, In all honesty dogs tend to eat possessions rather than infrastructure. You would probably have a professional carpet cleaner at the end of the tenancy anyway. I've had 3 tenants with dogs, no problems so far. Touch wood etc.

    New kettle bought :(

At home today as yesterday's trip out convinced me I wasn't up to a 3 hour round trip to the office. Saved around £15 in diesel but would prefer to feel well enough to be there :(

    Plans for the weekend:
    1. Really, really, really start to think about Xmas. Being surrounded by people who don't know what they want doesn't help :D
    2. Sort out back up for laptop :o
    3. Plumb tumble drier in to washing machine outlet (i.e. fasten pipe to back of machine and ram in overflow ;)), admiring the shiny internal light as I do :D
    4. Buy and fit 2 cleats (twisty roundy things) for Roman blinds I have managed to put up :D
    5. Do mimimal food shop :)
    6. Which means, menu plan for the week :o
    7. Cook nice veggie lunch for Sat courtesy of ecoelle (or maybe jacket spud courtesy of nattypants :rotfl:)
    8. Sort out clean washing currently sitting above new tumble drier, and do more, stopping to admire the shiny internal light again :D
    9. Clear leaves off grass :(
    10. Try to get well :(
    11. Look at spreadsheets and try to work out how I can pay everything I need to, feed regular savers and still pay off mortgage no. 1 by end of Dec
    12. Buy lino for mortgage 3and arrange for fitting of it and new cooker
    13. Arrange builder to go round to mortgage 3 to look at damp under window (easy fix I assume) and in toilet (not so easy ).
    14. Hope said builder isn't then prompted to send me bill for all the work he has done over last few months (see point 11 above!) :(
    15. Drink no alcohol as Mr GG on call :eek::eek:
But first, a day's work, then nice bath and make myself look at least alive for Mr GG's arrival later :kisses3:. Staying in PJ's today until then :D

    Happy Friday all :j
