Well, that was the weekend..... have been out of the house for 2 hours yesterday and that's it, still fell asleep in the car :(. Went to a new factory shop for Mr GG's shoes - he was v happy (he is happy to dress like a tramp but likes nice shoes :rotfl:). They have a small selection of ladies - lovely brogues which are not really my thing, but also lovely Chelsea boots, always fancied a pair of those, will return when feeling better/have more money/am v thin so look good in tailored trousers. So, no time soon then :o.

Decided to work from home tomorrow, a 5.30 alarm call may just finish me off .

DD came for dinner and bemoaned that there was no food parcel for her to take home - she's expecting better next month :rotfl:. She did go off with her choccy advent calendar and two boxes of tissues though :D.

Did manage to put new blind up in loo, looks nice :). Need something stronger to hold it up in bathroom though :(.

Making good progress with Xmas pressie list. For what I want, not anyone else :rotfl:. Decided to join the digital age and get an mp3 :o. Chosen one (not an ipod!) and speakers, Mr GG can get me those and DD and DS can get me portable speakers for Spain. Got very good advice on a thread here, did my own research and everything recommended had great reviews so that's sorted. There are some lovely helpful people on MSE (as well as some scary ones ).

Xmas food discussed - DS wanted duck, I wanted turkey, DD wanted lamb. So we're having....... beef :rotfl:. A la Nigel, my new food god :kisses3:.

Entered lots of competitions. Bit worried as quite a narrow entrance to street, hope all the delivery vans don't cause a traffic jam ;).

Have a good week all :D.

I debated Chelsea boots for a while too..... Usually live in uggs during the winter but decided I needed to smarten up a bit every now and then. Managed to get some a few weeks ago and have worn them nearly every day since. Take your time getting the right ones and you won't be without them.

I decided a few years ago to enter some. Started off with Morrisons Mag - won prizes in 2 out of 3 - Reggae Reggae CD and Heinz apron :rotfl:. Funnily enough, I found the more I entered the 'luckier' I became. A bit like on here really - the more you knuckle down and OP your mortgage the 'luckier' you'll be when you've paid it off ;).

Well, new TD has arrived :T. Am ridiculously excited as it has an internal light :rotfl:. You can vent the water into the washing machine outlet so that's a job for the weekend :D. 1st load dried and waiting on NP to collect her fluffy towels ;). It gets very, very, hot .

Mr GG opened a NW reg saver at beginning of month. Just had letter saying he failed ID checks - can we send a bank statement in his name with address on it. Hell, yes, have a NW one from our current account . Guessing they have actually done a search and he is not on the electoral register here or pays any bills. So, he's credit worthy enough to have a current account with large OD facility but not a savings account . I know it's probably to do with money laundering, but still seems a bit silly :rotfl:.

Off to London shortly for a meeting. Could do without it as still feel rough, but not far to walk fortunately. It is the 'danger zone' aka Ken High St, but as I'm still feeling rough I should be safe ;). Do need to pop to Gap to get birthday pressie.

    But first - MOT..........

Seems ridiculous that you need to send a bank statement for the same bank requesting it - things like that really annoy me.

Enjoy London and good luck avoiding the shops..
  • Hiya GG, how's your head today, after the party you've all been having, I would imagine a little sore :rotfl:

Hope you enjoyed Ken high street, I used to work just off there and had a fab time, from what I can remember :T

Good to see the TD has arrived, Tilly x
