I had to "bite my lip" at the terrible story :D I read up on the internet abotu book 2 and book 3, didn't want to waste any more money!

Ooh I was due to help set that world record too but unfortunately I cannot do it now! Have fun!

I'm a miserable Natwest customer today who has no wages paid in :(

Note to self: at end of a strssful week, best not to arrange a meeting next to large M&S with best clothes for years and Hobbs with a sale on :o.

Next month's OP may well be £200 short :o.

Martin & Martina appear to have doubled again overnight :j. Maybe they've just dried out .

    Watch the BIRDIES :).

Thanks Lavinia. I have an auntie Lavinia :D. Cool name!

The 'dresses of shame' are currently hanging over the banister upstairs, the skirt and top have been put away. The skirt is a winter one so I'll probably wear it Monday rolleyes.gif.

  • Morning, those birdies are definitely well fed :)

H@bbs shoes are my downfall and I keep deleting the emails enticing me to look on the web site - winter dress for Monday sounds like a plan, but to counteract that, perhaps we will be sitting drinking Pimms in late October to make up for the disastrous summer so far - I live in hope!

    Sun is out

    Admin day so far:
    • Email to Mr GG's pension section for quotes for retiring at 55 with drawing pension at 55/60, with/without lump sums.
    • Letters from Egg yesterday. They are withdrawing the drawback facility on the mortgages. Have decided to ask for it all back (around 8k) and OP on mortgage #3 which is 1% higher, so should have been doing this all along.
    • Mr GG despatched with paperwork and crib sheet to ring them tomorrow, I need to ring also.
    • Letter written to mortgage #3 asking for account details to make OP's.
    • Overhauled my pensions. Still paying into 11 different funds , but selling some I am no longer paying into. Was holding on to them till they recovered value but may as well sell now and buy into remaining funds which have also lost value?
Changing mortgage arrangements means that mortgage #3, which was 1st target after own btl, will be around 9k lower than I thought, so when I have paid off btl it will be sitting at around 26k. Will set a target for paying it off once I know what reduced mortgage payments will be. Having said that, 'back of fag packet' calcs give a date of Easter 2014. Which is clearly not acceptable :D.

Sounds like a productive day. Don't understand pensions I'm afraid so can't help you. I haven't got one yet and I'm not sure I want one. Might regret that when I'm 70 but to be honest I'll probably be working until I die, even if I die at 90 as undoubtedly the government will change the goal posts again!
