a penny picker upper. MFW approx 78% to go | FIRE 3 years worth (30% savings rate: now aiming for 40%!) | Normality is a paved road; it's comfortable to walk, but no flowers grow on it | Whatever you're meant to do, do it now. The conditions are always impossible | The only thing you absolutely have to know, is the location of the library

Think we'll go for for new Al - difficult enough buying new from a shop in a foreign language :o, especially as we don't have a chimney or even internal wall to position it on.

My extensive research (i.e. look at lots of pics and set up a Pinterest board :D) had not included Mr GG till I'd honed it down a bit - but he loved yours Al :T

You need me to draw a pic of the stoves on a napkin - you know how good my drawing is :rotfl::rotfl:
    I too am artistic :D.

1st shows a traditional fire and chimney - like Al's, 2nd is an inset into wall. 3rd drawing shows wall mounted modern fire, 4th is more traditional, in front of a built-up wall (original pillar on the left). IMG_0364.jpg

This is Mr GG's preferred option:

which is to leave as is and have hooks on it for jumpers, scarves and socks :( :rotfl:
