Hey gally!
I was thinking of you on Wednesday - hope your ears were burning!
We were out and about, abroad in the great yonder, and saw loads of yellow wagtails. I bounced on here to tell you all about it - only to discover that several months ago, you were excitedly telling us that you had seen your first ever grey wagtail - not yellow wagtail! (I remember you mentioning it, but got mixed up as to what version you had seen!
)
Fast forward to today, and I hope that your ears were burning again, as whilst we were once again enjoying the delights of the British countryside; sitting munching a picnic by a stream, what did we spy? But a pair of grey wagtails. I'll freely admit, we thought that they were dippers to begin with, but as we watched them, and noted that they were acting in a wagtail way, I said to DP that I thought they might be grey wagtails. Got home and mrg0ggle said they woz! Very, very grainy pic from my point and squirt camera for you to verify as a grey wagtail......

Thanks for pic GP but sure you have better things to do on your walks than talk about me :rotfl:. No pic I'm afraid as too grainy on phone, but we saw a Little Bittern the other day :T. No-one had told it it's supposed to be reclusive as it was strutting it's stuff round the water at a restaurant we were at :j.A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Ay, but we've dropped really lucky this week, with the things that we have seen (we also saw 3 fallow deer as we were cycling through the forest
) but I think that because we have come to appreciate the 'little things' so very much, we are minded to think about people who mention them too

Did see a single black winged stilt last night, flying over with his legs crossedGreying_Pilgrim wrote: »Ay, but we've dropped really lucky this week, with the things that we have seen (we also saw 3 fallow deer as we were cycling through the forest
