Hang on a minute ........
When you said I was at the airport and KC mistook it for me having arrived (hello KC ) you did nothing to dispel it was me leaving ME.
I think I am entitled to a wee sleep after 30hrs with noneWell as I have said before - GG and her poetic licence!!
Going to have to balance the books - male ego and all that, you understand! So please forgive the next couple of posts .....
PS - GG is out playing and invariably meeting new friends; fair play to her. I am enjoying relaxing on the terrace and hijacking her thread
Hello ahem
I'm loving these posts :rotfl: Is GG meeting any ospreys out there?2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Squirrel - the financial rewards were significant. However I feel truly grateful to have got into a position where I could turn my back on it and do what was planned a year ago and retire.
I do know without GG's meticulous planning I would not be here in Spain but enjoying life in Blighty .....no doubt on cheaper (and equally as good golf courses).
Our own challenge is now not to throttle one another ...... as up to now we have lived our near 18 years together apart. Doing separate things will help as will being able to share quality time. I know many have mentioned it but having the time to do things really does make a difference - I might even use some of my time to catch up on other diaries.
I say the latter because I am in awe of the way you guys support and encourage one another. I have started looking at some of the diaries of those who often contribute on GG's and even found myself asking where is Radish, GreenT, ATT and went looking for their diaries yesterday!!!!!! :rotfl:
Always dangerous singling out names :T:T:T to all readers/ contributors0 -

Only just worked out who ahem is. Very pleased to meet you!Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D0 -
Turn my back for 10 minutes . Mr GG is right, our biggest challenge now is not to throttle one another :kisses3:. I have to give him credit that though I have been the driver in all our plans he has been so supportive and very occasionally put his hand in his pocket
.
So Mr GG has joined the lovely golf course and played this afternoonand I got to drive the buggy
wheeeeeeeee it was great fun :T:T:T.
I was at a chub club this morning, this will be challenging, for example out for lunch tomorrow and also tomorrow night . But I have managed over 20,000 steps today (a fair few on the golf course searching for Mr GG's Lucky Little White Ball that we managed to hang onto till the last hole but then lost
).
Finishing the last of our 'El Miracle' wine that we paid 99c a bottle for. After trying a bottle we went back and bought the other 11 they had, we've eked them out but now it's farewell
so back to the €1.35 stuff :rotfl:.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Funnily enough I did look at some yesterday (less than €4!!!!) but will probably try the plastic bottles that look like olive oil bottles first. We do have standards you know :rotfl:.
And I thought you had better standards than drinking £(Euro)4 wine, GG.
On another topic, thanks for the osprey advice. I showed my son some of the videos and he now wants me to read a book about them to him. Can't find anything written for his age group but he likes looking at bird books and me reading the facts about various birds to him, so I'm hoping he'll be satisfied with one I've ordered into the library. Also promised we shall visit in July, he's very excited so I hope we actually see something!2018 totals:
Savings £11,200
Mortgage Overpayments £5,5000
