Fantastic news enjoy your adventure sounds like a fair swap from 13 hour days. My friends are in Oman three year post, he works she's lady of leisure and loves it. He hates it but it's the money that makes him do it and to be fair they have lots of lovely expats around them (or contractors as they are called.). I have I visited once going again soon go for it and enjoy it.

So, calm before the storm I think, feeling very relaxed about the whole thing :).

Packers will come in and ..... well, pack :D. But I need to do a lot of sorting out first so will start tonight with old paperwork. As shredder has a meltdown after about 3 goes it'll be going into confidential waste at work......... you know, that place I'm still going to for just a little while :rotfl:.

DS and DD squabbled all Christmas Eve over who was having what :D.

With a :kisses3:to Mr GG as he's not feeling very well :(.

    Hiya!

Deffo need to sort your stuff, you probably don't want to pay to move things you don't want, after all :)

I employed professional packers twice - the first was a women-only firm in London (many years ago now) who were absolutely brilliant, but when I moved houses in the coastal town I used to live in, I had to use a mainstream firm. They packed all my ordinary mugs very carefully, but the lead crystal glasses were left rattling about dangerously, and had some solid silver jewellery just chucked into them, with not even a piece of tissue paper to protect them. And its not the sort of thing you unwrap immediately, no matter how good the "seven days" intentions are :(

Gentle hugs to Mr GG, hope he didn't have to travel when he was really poorly.

Good lord Gallygirl. How wonderful :)
Seems financial independence has been delivered - at least - I hope so! Wonderful. How soon do you go? Will you miss the cold weather? Like could anyone miss freezing :rotfl:
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

KC we will get moved FOC but it still needs sorting. Unfortunately a lot of it is needed for tax reasons so not too much got rid of. Did find some old letters saying mortgage was going up to 6.35%.

Mr GG tucked up in bed, I am tucked up with the Celebrations and Rioja :D. And Mission Impossible 2 which is not exactly realistic . For example Dougray Scott impersonating Tom Cruise. Dougray Scott is 6' tall. Tom Cruise .....mmmmmm.....isn't :rotfl:.

Watty I hate the cold but am sure I'd welcome it when it's over 50 degrees in the summer .

Operation declutter continues :). A load of old mags stuck on gumtree (have put outside for collection so someone had better want them!) and am about to sort out stuff for ebay (probably won't put them up yet but will get photographed, descriptions written, weighed and bagged up.)

Mr GG continuing with his decluttering of sweat and other bodily fluids :rotfl: but there are signs the patient may live :T.
