Morning Taxi! I've just been working on the ebay parcels - my little baby sewing machine takes a *lot* of wrapping, plus sending invoice info - still, as my sister said, its free money :D

Just finishing off my listie-room-thing & tidying madly.

And in a sort of moneysaving exercise - I popped out of the house last evening to check how much roof I had that was southfacing - since I feel settled here, I'm wondering if I should do the solar panels offer (Sainsbury is offering it at the mo) .... and I met a neighbour I hadn't met before. He has a woodburning stove, and so he'll happily have any big branches I prune from my trees. Which saves me a trip to the tip and/or lots of sawing to hide them in my ordinary landfill bin (which feels bad anyway). Result.

And I have lots of more-or-less southfacing roof :D

Ooh, lots of good news there for you KC! :T :T Fab news on the dress :D You just ignore those 'rules' - if it feels nice and you think it looks good, go for it! :T :T

(must investigate sainsbury's solar panels offer!)

:hello: Okay! If anyone mentions it, I'll tell them Cheery said so :D Its a great dress to wear to a long event, it really is, because it looks figure hugging, but isn't quite :D

Morning! Got the photos - stunningly lovely! :)

Your clothes sorting sounds good and glad to hear the dress is as fabulous as you hoped :D

On the tree/ plant identification - I used to be quite good as my parents used to point everything out to me when I was younger and help me to use books to identify plants, forgotten a lot of it now, but I do have a couple of books which I like to take out occasionally and try to identify things. I still love working my way through the keys to figure it out.. blue.. five petals... etc etc

  • Err I have been catching up but I notice that there is something missing no posts about you know what ;) do I have to start bum kicking or are you going to come up with some perfectly reasonable explanation - I warn you it will have to be good :rotfl:

On another note I am still getting more and more annoyed with the census people have you heard from them? Had a holding email on 2nd Feb saying I would hear in 2 to 3 weeks yeah right isn't that what they said on the 15th December  Then I had an email from them yesterday saying that there were jobs available in areas where they hadn't had a lot of response why would I want to apply for another job in an area which is miles away from me when they can't tell me whether I have got the job I have already applied for :( Really hope I can find something else soon in the hope if they do offer me a job I can tell them to stick it where the sun don't shine :D especially as if memory serves me right it was supposed to start on 16th March and they want us to do online training and a course before then sorry I am ranting and its not even my diary:o

Well done on the jeans KC - I tend to buy cheapie ones from Matalan as they fit me well and are always comfortable - I've found now that I always look for the pairs with a bit of side to side stretch in them as they are far more comfortable.

Another one here with a gasted flabber at the comment that woman made to you about being able to feel your ribs! You should have responded with a big smile and "well there's no chance of me being able to say the same to you, is there love!" and wait for the reaction - anyone that rude deserves being told a few home truths, in my view! :D

Had to smile about Beanie's comment about hating buying jeans because they gape at the back - I had the same problem for years but my shape has changed slightly over the past few years and so it's not so bad now. I'm 5'1" and around a size 16 - as someone described it recently the B00b fairy has visited me too! I've got long-ish legs for my height, but am very short bodied, so my clothes-buying hate is dresses - my wedding dress was a corset style top (in deep red velvet!) and separate ivory satin skirt for this very reason!

Did you sort all your eBay stuff out in the end? I listed over 30 items, sold 24 and have made about £70 on those so am quite happy! Will have to continue working through the photos and typing up text ready for the next free listing weekend I think!

  • Afternoon! lots of positives on here again :j.

I had loads planned this morning but trapped my fingers in between a concrete drain cover and its hole. _pale_ Felt soooo sick, DH and DS were laughing at the faces I was pulling. Ended up laying on the bed for half hour.

Mind you DH then felt bad and washed up for me :D
