  • Well done on the jeans KC - I tend to buy cheapie ones from Matalan as they fit me well and are always comfortable - I've found now that I always look for the pairs with a bit of side to side stretch in them as they are far more comfortable.

Another one here with a gasted flabber at the comment that woman made to you about being able to feel your ribs! You should have responded with a big smile and "well there's no chance of me being able to say the same to you, is there love!" and wait for the reaction - anyone that rude deserves being told a few home truths, in my view! :D

Had to smile about Beanie's comment about hating buying jeans because they gape at the back - I had the same problem for years but my shape has changed slightly over the past few years and so it's not so bad now. I'm 5'1" and around a size 16 - as someone described it recently the B00b fairy has visited me too! I've got long-ish legs for my height, but am very short bodied, so my clothes-buying hate is dresses - my wedding dress was a corset style top (in deep red velvet!) and separate ivory satin skirt for this very reason!

Did you sort all your eBay stuff out in the end? I listed over 30 items, sold 24 and have made about £70 on those so am quite happy! Will have to continue working through the photos and typing up text ready for the next free listing weekend I think!

:rotfl::rotfl: I am similar size/height and i also buy from matalan..although i suffer from Duck syndrome, shorter legs and longer body..but fabulous curves dahling:D:rotfl:
Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Goodness - you could be describing me! - Dress shopping is truly a nightmare!

Have recently had some luck with Wallis petite for dresses - the ones that have an 'empire' line but with a v-neck instead of a scoop or round one, seem to add length to the torso and also the length of the dress ends about the right place on the leg - quite affordable really as they always seem to be having an on-line sale!

  • After all that trading talk I think my head hurts more than my fingers ;).

Only one finger is bad now and I suspect that when I remove my lovely dark nail varnish it will still look like its on there!

Sorry I made your head hurt :kisses3:

Body shape .... I've just watched Aunty Gok, and hopped on to the Channel 4 website .... I can't decide what body shape I am - I feel l'm an athletic shape, tho I'm not athletic :D but I might be hourglass, because I do have a waist, and I might be topheavy, because I have broad shoulders :question::question:

So none the wiser really :D

I have head out the top, legs out the bottom, and arms out the sides - so that's good enough for me... ;)

So have you been *really* trading then?

  • I go with the decription boyish, although it rarely appears in help guides for bodyshapes.

slimish, no bust, fairly wide shoulders. I have a distinct lack of curves .

Hey, that sounds like me - apart from the "slimish" bit.

I believe that's an "athletic" body shape.

Or so I keep deluding myself with... ;)

Err, that would be a "no".

I keep saying that nobody will understand it - I spent two years reading books about this stuff, why should anybody understand it straight away
