Kc ash has 'grannies chimey pots' on the bud end -black in colour - young trees have no keys (seed heads through winter) if I had a photo of twig/branch I could give you an ID (hopefully)

Ps don't worry about my window sill seedling thing I'm growing very early very silly temperate things which need a pamper - normal seeds grand in your set up. :) which is why I'm growing early and for eBay/plant orders.

I'm in the same boat as Z...I can't identify plants/trees and loved his take on it...lol
KC....I'm so with you on the clothes thing....I have a few tops that fit and two pairs of black trousers that fit but am loathe to buy a wardrobe full of clothes due to being on a diet.I have a few bits ranging through different sizes and will have to add stuff to them as and when needed.
Can't wait to get to goal wight and have a wardrobe full of clothes that fit but feel that will be quite a while yet.

I can feel a shopping trip approaching you KC :D

I've been having a makeup clear out today, havent done that for ages & it was good fun. First I put it all on my face & DD was in stitches while muttering rude things about circuses & clowns :rotfl:

I've chucked a lot out & am happy with the little I have, I just really need to find that perfectly colour matched minerals makeup that I can wear daily without feeling too 'obvious' ... a trip to the Body Shop to brave the chair will be happening soon.
You're so right! If this town had a GAP I'd go there today, but I might just walk to the Sainsbo and check what they've got for jeans.

I'm not even going to look to see when I can retire now, it should have been 9 years away & it changed to 14. Heaven knows where it is now.
Didn't realise you were up near those figures with me, Maty - at least I feel happier being where I am, which means whatever else I do is off to a good start.

Having spent most of the last decade in jeans for work and home I have recently started wearing dresses and I love them :D Especially at this time of year with thick tights and knee high boots :) I don't seem to have many skirts though :(
Its the thick tights thing! The deluge of tights that I have is all the old-fashioned thin stuff - I need some of the thick/jegging type.

I have a home not a house :o I am so lucky with my neighbours as I live in a mid terrace, people tried to talk me out of it saying it would be very noisy but it really isn't. I love living here :D One set of neighbours did ask if I could make a bit more noise as they sometimes worry if I am OK :rotfl:
Thats really good about your neighbours - people have said that sort of thing to me about how quiet I am, and the current next door people *are* embarrassed about how much noise they make, but thats life.

The retirement age is getting older quicker than I am. By the time I do retire, school leavers will leave at 25 and people will retire at 104...
    I love that :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

And your whole riff on tree-flower-bush :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: vintage Z!

Thanks Pippi, I didn't know that about the youngsters, I understand what you're saying :)

A couple of the pairs of jeans I threw out were because they were too big for me now - I know what you mean about buying while you're on a diet, but DT seemed to have a really good take on it - she didn't seem to buy loads, but every so often, she'd buy one set of clothes, and the crossover period seemed to be enough to get her through.

Right now, I'm at a weight thats fine for me really - I need to be fitter, and I need to tone my arms and my stomach, and thats it.

Just off to get brekkie to go through the diaries - I'm finally catching up on my sleep, which is bliss - I had 9 hours in bed last night, *not* tossing and turning, but actual sleep for about 90% of the time, absolutely wonderful :j:j:j

  • Its great to have a decent sleep isnt it :j.

The reason you have tights is that if she have a tree that needs propping you can use them and they don't cut the bark (or thats what I was told!)

We have a gap outler here that does great prices BUT i find the stuff fades, goes misshapen and does not loast anywhere near as long as Next or Tu or florence and fred.

I'd forgotten about tights as tree ties! Thanks for the remind :) Sorry you've had bad experiences with GAP - several people on here recommended them to me the first time I started blathering about my jeans :rotfl:

    Tut! Lulu!

I might not be able to recognise different trees, but I can identify different primates.

Though from some angles, it's a bit more difficult...
