  • It's October, you'll be fine. I often do stuff like that.

And of course, there's always a variation on "bless this food that I've dropped" which magically removes all germs!

  • I'm sure the leaving out food will be fine - I hope you get a refund for the card, I'd ask too!

:) over to read of previous page :)

In our house we've a 3 second rule for food that hits the floor - which if I'm correct is far longer than 3 seconds and apart from NOT having a cold at the mo, we're all hardly sick at all, I entirely blame our lack of house hygeine.................:)

I'm in very good company, I see :) ate the first batch a couple of hours ago, and I'm fine so far :D

Been to the village, all mse stuff:
    - I love the Coop again, as they did indeed give me a refund for the card, no questions asked - no way do I want to pay £2.69 for a 3 year old's card, especially when its only "passable"!
    - posted the Amazon sale, worked well on the finances.
    - walked round the allotments to "my" skip :D took an extra brick for the edging of the new border and a couple of huge bathroom tiles for mulch-for-now-I'll-decide-what-to-do-with-them-later.

Working soon as well - bit of money coming in today, for a change.

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend.

Some Americans did a study, and they found out it was pretty much 24 hours before stuff started growing/crawling on it. But that does depend on the wildlife in your kitchen of course.

Yesterday turned out fairly successfully in the end:

    - had a chat with a friend who mentioned that filling in the void underneath the house resulted in complete halt to the **big** spiders. Eureka! Confirmed something I was thinking, so pottered off to Wickes thats recently opened a bit nearer me than the previous one, and bought 6 insect screens for the air bricks that go into the void. I'll fit the "emergency two2 :D:D:Dthem today - they can be screwed or nailed, but for urgency's sake, these two will go on using blu tak - after all, its held the buzzer to my door for 5 years :D

    - the screens were £3.05 each, and I got a non-advertised multibuy reduction, so £16.98 in total :j

    - was very good and didn't buy any more plants at the lovely garden centre I went to :)

    - found identical air vents in Wilko's for £2.38 :o OTOH, they only had them in bright white, and the ones I've got are a slightly-more-likely-to-merge-into-the-background brown - for an extra couple of quid, I can hack that.

    - just found I've sold *another* book of the ones I posted on Amazon last week - they really are going well! I'll get that ready to go today, as I'm going to be a bit busy tomorrow.

3 seconds is about as long as it takes to *metaphorically* bless the food, so that works too. It does depend on what's on your floor though:p:p

You seem to be doing quite well on the Amazon stuff, most of mine just kept getting re-listed.

Thanks! These are the recent listings - I didn't expect them to go like this, but they are. There's one, however, that I've had on for over a year - its permanently listed, I'm not sure how I've done that. I had great hopes when I first put it on - a standard copy was listed at £120 (it cost me £12) - its a screenplay, and mine is signed by the author, plus I have a photo of me with him as proof of the signature. No dice, nothing - I've reduced the price now to £35, but still nothing doing. Anything less, and people won't believe it is what I say it is - I wish it would go!

Sometimes signed things, with authentication, go well on eBay. Just depends who it is that signed it.
