Hi Taxi :hello: I am at that! Wishing more of it was fun, but getting an income and prepping for winter are necessary! Tho I caught a bit of a decluttering bug last night :rotfl:
How are you?2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Some Americans did a study, and they found out it was pretty much 24 hours before stuff started growing/crawling on it. But that does depend on the wildlife in your kitchen of course.
In our house wild life is the problem, there is the free range eco-hoover in our house - hairy and effective four legged friend, three seconds is often too long when he's about.
Hey up KC - nice amazon sale and goodly bargain on the screen front!morning to you - well done on resisting plants too
Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there. :beer:

Hi Pippi! From how things look on your blog, I'd say you have a two legged eco hoover as well, name of Karyn The Escapologist Hen
Yep, I felt good resisiting (sp) the plants - when I've got files organised inside, I *do* want to buy a bay plant, ready to put outside next spring/summer, thats why the book decluttering is starting up again

- had a chat with a friend who mentioned that filling in the void underneath the house resulted in complete halt to the **big** spiders. Eureka! Confirmed something I was thinking, so pottered off to Wickes thats recently opened a bit nearer me than the previous one, and bought 6 insect screens for the air bricks that go into the void. I'll fit the "emergency two2
:D:Dthem today - they can be screwed or nailed, but for urgency's sake, these two will go on using blu tak - after all, its held the buzzer to my door for 5 years
Of course that means that the really big ones can now only come out through the floorboards..."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

You two are horrible :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
There are no vents in the walls, and there are no bare floorboards!
One bargain I forgot about yesterday was at the garden centre: with a spend of 50p I bought 4 sprinkler tops - you screw them onto empty bottles you've got around the house - tomato ketchup or something - and then I also saw that 40p goes to charity, so they're a bargainous and lovely buy
Lovely day today having a little adventure via railway. Very happy :j:j:j2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Yep, the idea of bare floorboards is mad, in my eyes! Plus, of course, if you have a void underneath, as nearly all of us do, and proper ventilation of that void, you get a wind *whistling* through!
Speaking of which, I never did the air brick screens before I went out. I'll give myself another 5 mins on here, then scoot off.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

When you strip it down to the floorboards, you do actually seal the gaps for that very reason. In my last house, the carpet used to rise in the middle of the floor when it was *very* windy."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)
