Thanks for that about the pineapple! Yep, I think the freezer is the way to go.
The accounts, argh, include the period when I moved house, so there's lots of massive transfers of money that I can't remember the details of - I'm just listing at the moment, and the bank slips themselves will tell me more - its going to get a bit more problematic quite soon2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Ellidee, you're a star! I've ordered the pudding - did it straight away. And apparently I had £4.65 balance in the account, so it cost me nothing :j plus I *think* I got the last one for now
Sainsbo reduced also sounds good - I *might* be able to get there this afternoon, too :j2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Didn't get to Sainsbo - I did a lot of paid work yesterday :j but it left me in desperate need of getting out and breathing in fresh air, so I went to the local duckpond and the allotments behind it, I haven't been able to visit them for a while as a bridge was being rebuilt. Lovely out there! And I delved into a skip
and got 3 broken roof tiles - can't use too many, because they're *impermeable*, after all
, but they'll be an addition to the weed-free-ness in the garden. Unless Pippi countermands it, I've already left a question on her thread
I've done the first draft of the income for last year and its much worse than I thoughtI have to check those figures today and I might well do the income for *this* tax year before I do outgoings for *last* tax year, to check where things are now. Now that I'm better at listing correctly, that should be fairly quick. And I might *have* to use my own wits to do the form, rather than my accountant
Anyway, 2 more paid hours today, widely separated but thats okay. Then I need to go to Sainsbo, see if mine has any of the reduced rate free-from left, and get stuff thats running low.
The sloe/apple combo has set finally :j with the addition of yet more sugar and boiling off the water, I guess. I can see why sloe jam isn't as popular as black currant jam :rotfl: it has a bit of a weird taste. I'll be forcing it into little storage pots, *labelling* said storage pots, and sticking in the freezerVictory is mine :j:j:j
Next - the blackberries! I may well use a recipe :rotfl:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Hello! Sounds like some fun jam adventures there.. sloe/ apple sounds a bit like something to have with cheese or other savoury stuff maybe? Or to add some flavour to some sort of sauce.. as well as just as jam...
Nice skip acquisitions thereDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Its been *very* interesting, the sloe/apple combo! Definitely to go with something savoury. Speaking of which, I've branched out to hard sheep's cheese, on some of that Approved foods g/f bread, and its lurvely .... AF are my new best friends2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Sainsbo didn't do too badly either - just been for a bit of a shop, and got a few not-bad-bargains:
- gluten free muffins, half price
- gram flour, reduced by 33%.
- 4 x Basics toilet cleaner, 27p each :rotfl:
- treated myself to the raw veg that belong to a stirfry, 79p!
- cartridges for the printer - ha ha! These were 25% less than their price where I bought the printer, and I had a £2.50 off coupon for ink cartridges (I think it must have belonged to somebody else and I picked it up) plus they took me over the £40 spend to get 160 extra Nectar points :j
