Hey KC. Glad you had another good day. Loving the banter between you and Z very funny. Poor little bunny it must have been scary. My friends rabbit had that last year. I have never owned a rabbit - she owned about 10 and I was the one who knew what was wrong with the little thing. She unfortunately didnt catch it in time.
:hello: Yep, it was me, I bantered :j

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Lovely day, absolutely, tho the poor rabbit has a *huge* scab - its got to be three inches wide _pale_ I'm really not exaggerating. The vet said they should think about putting him down, but they took the choice to work on him and heal him, and he's coming through ...

The other thing about the day, of course, was all that rubbish, mostly garden rubbish, gone! And it went straight to the garden rubbish bit, not even hidden in the bin, so it will be composted in due course, which I'm really happy about :T
I love that I can set FB to not show me as on line. Like keeping up with people but dont want to get into real time chat.

I'm so glad you said that! Tho almost everyone I mention it to feels the same way :j so I'm really pleased I took the step.

Sounds like you've had a great weekend and cery bargainous too

Yep! I like bargains, me :j:j:j
Glad you had a good weekend at your Egyptology.

Now that you've actually taken the pain and got the house a lot clearer, you should be able to do the flylady thing and just do 15 minute bursts.

Thanks Gill! Short bursts are definitely the way to go .... the house isn't "clear", but its definitely "clearer", you're right :o:o:o I should acknowledge that more ...

Today, some work admin, 3 hours paid work, and then on with the list. Paid work should be finished by 3pm at the latest, so I've got a good period of time to crack on with stuff.

  • Hey up missy you have been busy.

Ace that all is going to be composted and brill you feel on top of things

setting fb to not be online, I'd like that I think, I don't go on there much because you often get 'pounced' on when you're just having a peek.

Paid work today, grand, well reminded I need put my timesheet in when I take cellist into town to get a bit of uniform and for her to catch up with her pals for lunch (how very grown up!) [her not me]

Have a great day, what do you have planned after work, you off for a walk?

I'll do some gardening (aka digging up clumps of grass, to extend the border so I can plant herbs :) ) and then yes, a walk would be a good idea, since we didn't get out for our walk yesterday, just sat and chatted instead .... I might well do a proper walk, towards the mixed oak/damson trees. The local plums have been picked, so its damsons for me :)

    Good Morning KC!

Just popped on to say hi & congratulations on surviving 'Mom'!

Your ongoing housework efforts are great - you are always so sensible - it's so true that coming to terms with it in manageable chunks is half the battle!

I will have to come to terms with that one on the vacuuming front - it always turns into a HUGE production instead of a little go-over!

    :eek:I've ironed! - A whole batch - the once a season chore!

Sensible .... hmmm... I'm not sure about that

A once-a-season chore is another huge production, I'm sorry to tell you :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I, on the other hand, iron about twice a year and it takes me ten minutes, because it will only be one item of clothing :D

Morning.. ooh it's garden week this week isn't it? :) Sounds like a really good weekend. Poor little rabbit though, I hope he's ok.

Garden week ... I should write this stuff down in my diary :o as it happens, it was brilliant - I had a bite to eat after work, then went straight out into the garden - cut back some ivy, dug up some clumps of grass, and planted the two little creeping mint that I bought at Crawley Folk Festival. I'm not sure they're going to make it - they looked dead when I came back from Norfolk, but I watered them anyway, and they've got new growth all over :j but its a question of them surviving the slugs now _pale_

So, two bags of *stuff* bagged, and I went off to post a few birthday cards ... then I really did walk up to "my" oak and damson orchard, which will be disappearing under bulldozers any day now, the next field is being transformed into a building site :(

And, erm, those damsons are actually sloes, apparently. And they're not ripe yet (tho I picked 220g, oops). I'm soaking them, and we'll see whats what. I've found a recipe for sloe chutney on River Cottage, so I'll have a go, basically, but its for 1kg of sloes, so I might freeze them the same way I've frozen the blackcurrants.

Its finally raining here! I watered in the new planting, but I'm hoping I won't have to do anything watering tonight. Meal, w/m on, and some scanning - I *will* have a lovely clear home

Haha.......... that explains the differences in the two types that I found. Just googled Sloe images. I am just off to walk Moo so I will be picking those that I left because I wasn't sure what they were. Thanks for that my BF loves gin and I will make her some sloe gin for Christmas. I might try that river cottage recipe if i get enough. :j:j:j

Oh I forgot I also found a whole host of mushrooms this morning. They were just your common button mushrooms ButtonMushroom.jpg
but I left them there just in case. I always find mushrooms but I havent been properly brave enough to pick any. I would love to go on a course for that.
    Sorry I just hijacked.

Don't do it yet - the dogwalker I was chatting to said sloes aren't ripe yet, these are still fattening up :)

So do I! The whole thing didn't come out on my page at first - so glad I quoted it :j

I'd never pick mushrooms - even identifying them from a book just isn't worth the risk, tho I think we may have had this conversation before. And how can this possibly be a hijack? Noooooooooooo!
