 You're right, and thats a good aim - especially given the size of the spider I found during the clearup, which was too big to go into the vacuum cleaner sideways _pale_

So I'll have a fortnightly rotation on maintenance - one week its the house, the next its the garden, as well as any other stuff that needs doing.

Today is a *big* workday, 4.5 hours, to make up for not working during the visit, so I'll be off quite soon.

    Hope everyone has a good'un!

    Morning!

Glad the time went well with your dear mum!

I've a half tidy home, I might be able to keep on top of it if I get into a regular routine, maybe we need a routine together.......................:)

Paid work, excellent, enjoy! I'm watching greenfinches being silly in the garden :)

    Nice day here.........................

Glad to hear you had a good time, sounds like fun introducing your mum to the joys of YouTube :D Like your idea of rotations (mine lately has been something like garden, garden, garden, oops can't move in the spare room for clothes, garden, garden, mini house tidy, garden, garden, hmm we really should hoover, garden, garden, garden, move living room furniture to accommodate musical instruments, garden, notice coffee stain on floor that used to be hidden by chair, garden, oh yeah we have a carpet shampooer don't we, garden, garden, think about using carpet shampooer....)

    Anyway, have a good day!

Exactly! More like firefighting than anything else! I'd like to get it so that I know roughly what to expect. The first house I had, I had a weekly "do-round" - when I left there, I never got anything organised again .... I need something, for sure, and since this house is smaller than either of the other two, it should be possible!

Right, signing off now, got to get ready.

Housework is a really indigestible frog for me. If I don't do it first thing, I won't do it. Trouble is, the same applies to the exercises the physio gave me. And bringing the washing downstairs, and . . . and . . .

But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?

routine, and a sense of purpose that, as the Dalai Llama says (but in a more round about way), is the route to happiness.
I didn't see that this morning! I like that :):):)

I've done some stuff today, honest! Did quite a bit of scanning, actually, and I weeded the flower border on the patio too - cleared space to plant up three pots, thats something. And it was a proper work day today for me :)

Off to watch Torchwood now :D:D:D

Ahhhh the memories of a routine. KC I understand the moving and losing all sense of a routine.

I have come to realise lately that a big part of why I am unhappy living in this house is because I have no sense of purpose here, I have no routine and I have no way of getting into one now. I think it is time to shake up my life. So may I follow your lead and work out some kind of routine?
As well as that I might just reinvent myself.
