I wish :rotfl: anyway, shutting down now - there's actual, y'know, paid work to be done  I'm sure I'll log on sneakily over the next 36 hours - for one thing, she'll be exhausted after *her* last 36 hours - but thank you all for putting up with this :p:o

Thanks all! I've been explaining the wonders of facebook and youtube to her, and I'm just sneaking on here while she's on the phone to her sister .... ah, the wonders of technology. We needed Nobel prizewinners of 2006 for her contribution to a quilt her quilting group is doing .... who says the internet is a force for bad? :D

It is, isn't it! We had a good time in the end - I showed her the piccies from Norfolk, and what facebook and youtube are really like (she liked the foxes on the trampoline :) ) we had a half hour in the garden - my potentilla has been pruned, and cleared of grass debris so that it can breathe and wave its arms around :)

Safely on the train this morning (tho I nearly got a free ride to Gatwick, taking her case onto the train, oops) and safely home now. I've started work again, and am determined not to let this place slide so much that I need to blitz the way I did this last fortnight :o

routine, and a sense of purpose that, as the Dalai Llama says (but in a more round about way), is the route to happiness.
