Souk, I simply don't eat the stuff ever - I buy the odd gluten free loaf, but at almost £3 for 400g, its really not a good idea - thats why I keep banging on about batch cooking/pancakes/you name it :)

Today ... hmm. Wash my hair. One hour paid work. Go to the bank. Dump [strike]carp[/strike] valuable unwanted items at charity shop. Possibly go to bathstore to exchange the unneeded bottle trap for a cute little pebble plug. And sew the dratted curtains, for pete's sake, how hard can it be?

    Silly billy me!

Hope you're getting through your list today KC! :T

Don't want to distract you... but just wondered whether you'd seen the Simple-Green-Frugal Co-op blog? Not sure all of it will be of interest to you, but there's quite a few people writing on it, and it's a good mix of gardening, home stuff, cooking, general simple living and green stuff and money saving :D

Just stopping in to say Hi KC - you've got quite a list to work through today, hope your weather is better than ours as it's grey and miserable here and keeps drizzling. I was going to go to the RSPB reserve this afternoon for a walk but instead I walked to do my Avon bits this morning (and found a brilliant short cut back! :j) and will stay here this afternoon and clear out a cupboard! :o

Hi there! Sorry I didn't get back on - I had that piece of work, then I did the trip into the shops - didn't do bathstore, as I couldn't find the receipt yet, but did the other stuff, and looked for a weddingy dress too - the sales are definitely on round here too, and I noticed Oxfam have some very nice proper dresses - CBA to try any on yet, but I will, I'll just have to not be doing any other shopping that day :)

Plus i backed up my old laptop (which means I can transfer it all to the new laptop v simply :) and I've been struggling for ages with transport for London tomorrow - my colleague isn't well, very rare for him, and I've been trying to find the cheapest trip back from London - it'll be about £7.50 extra, which isn't too bad, I suppose. But more exposure to infections, boo hiss! I am immune ... I am immune .... I am immune ...

I haven't come back on till now, so haven't looked at the blog properly Cheery, but its the sort of thing I like, for sure - I'll have a look tomorrow morning.

No sewing grrrrr - but I have finished pinning, at any rate.

Weather here was grey and drizzly most of the day, then turned into a bit of a deluge :( but here's to finding new shortcuts! I love doing that - you can live in an area for years, and suddenly realise there's an unwalked street so close by :)

Plus - on cheri's recommendation on the matrix thread, I found alison.com - free online courses! I don't know how good they are, but there are some website ones, and an accounting one - they'll be good for me doing my own accounts, and for the trading, when I get around to holding things longer term again.

I need a dose of Harry Potter before I go to sleep :rotfl: so I'd better go :rotfl: sleep well, all, and I'll see you tomorrow

  • That shortcut I found earlier will be a *very* useful one too as it's quick enough to get to and from my Avon territory that I won't need to take the car if I;m just doing odds and ends. :j

I love travelling on trains too - it's worth checking out the cost of day rover tickets that some train companies offer - they allow you to travel for relatively little all over an area all day - THIS SITE is quite useful for finding out what is available. We have used a ticket in the past which lets us travel around North Norfolk from Sheringham > Norwich and only costs a little over £7 - brilliant value!

Morning! We recommend Alison to people on the IT training scheme I'm involved in - it's a bit of a mixed bag but in general the courses are pretty good. Hope you have a good day today and keep away from those bugs!
