KC - thanks for the update re: builder

Also, Kemptown Carnival tomorrow, really annoyed I won't be able to go as I'm up in the 'shires with DD and my parents and coming back in the afternoon to go out on the lash with OH and a host of others, but maybe I'll kidnap OH and we can go and be more 'cultured' in Brighton for a bit first
But, as we won't have seen each other since oooooh Tuesday, we may just lock the doors, close the blinds and take the phone off the hook

Morning. Hope today goes well and the problematic people are not problematic.
Keep meaning to try dandelion fritters - we have loads in the lawn (dandelions that is, not fritters)!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Afternoon! I shouldn't be here ... but I am ... not the problematic people causing a problem, but another, long distance one .... couldn't go to the funeral, there wasn't time to get there.
KK - no problem. Hope you do get to go out on the lash, with the crowd or with OH on your tod
with closed blinds, naturally
Confused about dandelion fritters.... its just the petals, right? Not the tough green bit that they're attached to?2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I believe you dip the whole flowerhead in batter? I'm pretty sure I saw Alys Flowers do it
You might need to ask Pippi!
Sorry to hear people being problematic and that you couldn't get to funeral

There you go then KC, lots of options for dandelions. I just never think that they look like they'd taste OK, iykwim? But then again, you could say the same for lots of things I suppose.
Sorry you never made it to the funeral. Was it just all the timings being wrong?Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Morning! Hmmm.... I'm really not sure about eating the green bit ... maybe I need to keep an eye out for a freshly opened one, and work with that. Tho I don't really need more excuses to eat fat ... otoh, I do, actually, more good fats for the arthritis. Excuse the rambling....
I wish there *were* fritters in the lawn that could be picked and eaten , lol, not just rubbish, if you see what I mean
I'm not sure I like all this hard work
how embarrassing to confess on here that I'm a genuinely lazy person
Today, I have a lurgy
I've been trying to pretend its a hayfever incident, but its not
however, I *have* to get to the shops today - partly food, partly banking, partly insect screening and the velcro to hold it on - immediately outside my counselling room, there are some solitary bees that are heading for a little nest in the roof
its not a swarm, or a proper nest with a queen, I'm familiar with those, but its certainly too many to have a window open immediately by them. I might have to call a pest control person on Monday
lots of disappointed emoticons here
:(
Thats it, really.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Hello Karma,
you're in good company re the laziness - me too
. If I didn't like to live in clean & tidy environment I would happily potter & laze about for days ...
I do hope your lurgy passes on very soon
