You could but then you wouldn't be able to admire your lovely new house!

Have you posted the beautiful plan?
Could you maybe tackle one box a week?Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
:D:D I've started on the boxes already
I don't *think* I'm actually going to post the beautiful plan - truth to tell, once I'd written it, it looked a little unwieldy - 28 items, in 6 categories, and I'm away for a long weekend next weekend, so its already more than one a day - and some of the things just aren't do-able in one day/one bite. Erm, I think I need to prioritise some more ...2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
But will some of them be little tiny things KC? Or things that can be done 10 minutes a day, leaving you time to focus on other things?

You can't run away to sea because I can't come visit your boat as I get seasick! :eek:One small step for ME, one giant leap for my family!

You know me so well
Just did one that was simply sending an email ... and getting the floor downstairs finished off by buying vinyl will also get one done very quickly - I was going to fill the gaps between the floorboards with a squeegee gun thing from Focus DIY, but I won't need to do that now.
Carrying on now with something that *isn't* on the list, but was on a previous list - getting the bedroom curtains up, now that nearly all the cracks in the ceiling plasterwork are filled
I'll get there

you most definitely will get there...they are all getting ticked off0

Hi KC
glad the 'buildering' is making your house feel happier. Or you in the house, whatever.
With the list thing, even the things that can't be done in a day can often be broken down into smaller bite sized chunks, so you can feel a sense of satisfaction in them.
I've realised something over the last few days, lists don't really work for me. I'm fine in work, but at home, will happily d raw up a list and then ignore it, so will try the 'frog' thing. What is the biggest ugliest thing and get it out of the way.
I think I know what the reason is, and I'll put the reason over on my diary.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Morning! I'd already been to your diary today, so I've already replied - the frog thing is a good idea! The email I had to send was a bit of a frog, but I've already had a reply, and the answer was yes, happily

Taxi, thank you! The curtains aren't completely up, nor is the blackout material, but it did already make a difference.
RT! The little book arrived, thank you! I had no idea what to expect, and its really beautiful, I might well do some foraging. I'm a wimp about potential danger, so I was really interested in how useful dandelion is - young leaves for salads, buds for pickling and dandelion flower marmalade! I had a fine crop of dandelions just at the end of my garden, so this could be *very* good
Today is a bit weird - two hours work around lunchtime, then on the train to go to the funeral of a long term acquaintance, and I've just found out that some people who are extremely problematic in my professional life might also be attending
which is very distracting; I'm also going to zip into a garden centre to buy a roll of insect screening, and then zip home as I have another piece of work to do. Weird. But okay, in spite of that. I shall definitely reward myself with a something-or-other at the end of that....
Hope everyone has a good day! I'm popping in and out this morning....2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
