Right. Paid work is afoot - see you later folks, and thank you for the support.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Am sure they'll sort it out for you...hope you have a good day and that work isn't too draining0

Hi sweetie! You're right - they couldn't understand what I was on about, but they've agreed to do what I want, take the step off, lift the carpet, put filler in and put the step back on so that its not trapping the carpet
they'll do it on Friday afternoon, between clients of mine.
Today was a *lot* of work, but all of it went well. Not much else has happened. The little fennel is still *just* alive, tho I'm still not sure its going to make it. I hope it does

local firms are usually good at fixing mistakes and very quick as you see so glad it's getting sorted.
good luck with the fennel0 -
Sorry your enjoyment of your DG was cut short. But at least you can get in and out of doors now. All my doors and windows are single glazed and my front door used to swell in the rain, but we couldn't shave anything off, or it wouldn't have closed properly in dry weather, so I know how you must have been with it. Many is the time I have had to go out through back door, (remembering to take alleygate key with me!) in wet weather because I couldn't get it open. From outside it was easy, just needed a kick!!Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Yep, kicking outside doors can be full of problems - I'm glad these have been sorted so easily - I just *felt* a bit fraught about it all.
Greying - thats brilliant, thank you. Things are pretty full on - I have a friend turning up today who's going to a seminar round here, and she's staying overnight, and there's lots of other stuff, so it *is* a little bit full on. I started weeding the front border yesterday, which is the only bit in the front and thats where the comfrey will go, I think .... neighbour parks his car right by that border, but he only uses it 2 or 3 times a week, so I'm sure there isn't a pollution issue.
This morning, I've been on the Southern Railways website - thank you Martin! - lots of money off even their advance tickets, e.g. 50p to do the 45 minute fast journey into London - v impressive! They're not all *quite* as good as that, but I must've saved about 60% easily.
I've just got one hour of paid work today, at midday, and the morning is *definitely* taken up with cleaning and houseworky stuff, as my friend is arriving this afternoon - she's *camping* at this seminar she's going to, so kipping in my therapy room will be, um, palatial :rotfl: :rotfl:tho since she lives in one of those Golden Triangle apartments in Docklands, I'm not so sure
Anyway, this afternoon, I'll take her on one of my fave walks, and then we'll be examining each other's websites :eek::eek:
Just off to do a flylady fling, and back in a bit
