Washing going out now. Hope it doesn't blow away and take the fence with it. There seems to be a lot wobbling out there!

Washing in, barbecue on, can't remember the last time I used it. I think it was the year before we were promised a barbecue summer...

    That made me :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: too

Is that southern cold, or real cold? It's a little bit windier here now, but not a cloud in the sky and glorious in the sun.
Southern :o but as windy as anything off the Irish Sea

Why after? Why not during? It's what gardens are for, to sit in whilst supping...

    Sunbathe... ;)
Not with my skin - and 8 cases of skin cancer in the family say "no", quite emphatically  and the garden furniture is still **filthy**, I kid you not. I have a friend staying at the end of May, so it'll be clean by then :o

    Ooh great bargains KC :)

I'm slowly collecting goods to do a car booty; it does scare me though, thoughts like 'what if no one buys anything & I have to bring it all home again' go through my head & put me off.

It's sunny but wild here today & yes Z, it is only warm in the sun :p

Perfect weather for laundry & kites.

    Enjoy your day
    xx
Thanks Lula! I was pleased with the bargains too, even the rug which I hadn't planned. And laundry and kites, absolutely - and I think I've figured out a way to get a washing line out there without involving things like stakes and support rods and concreting.

Hi Butti! Hope it didn't come down....

Today, I've got two double glazing firms coming round. They're both local, so I won't get the spiel, I don't think. Neither my front door nor my kitchen door actually close properly any more, so its a bit dire. Had a client cancellation, so I'm really focussing on support work, so to speak, today. The list is:
    - work on the website (I'm off to London on Thursday with an mse ticket to Grand Designs, so I'll have more then too).
    - get the new phone working - with the old one, even when its on, people can't phone me. And I can't even top it up - its dying underneath me, I *must* get the new snazzy one working.
    - double glazing people.
    - couple of emails.
    - RoundUp on the sedge - I was scared to do it yesterday, it was so windy, the stuff was bound to blow into my face.
    - bag the rest of the leaves at the front - I shuffled them into a corner, they shouldn't have blown too far.
    - I spent a lot of time yesterday staring at the back garden :rotfl:deciding how to mulch various bits with what I have. Upshot is that I'm not going to create the veg patch this year at all, but I am going to rescue the border thats nearest to the house patio - it means I can't step straight onto the grass, its true, I'll have to use the path at the side, but since there's only me, I can live with that. It'll give me somewhere to put my lovely sedums, and I have quite a few ground cover plants too. And its a lot less work than I was envisaging for the veg plot. With everything else that has to be done - maintenance, basically - I think its the essential, and best, solution.

The wedding sounded lovely and fantastic that you got compliments!

Sounds like a good plan with the garden, get it under control and useable for this year then when you start the veg patch next year it will be easy to maintain while the hardwork goes into the new bits.
