Oooh a car boot that isn't in the middle of a soggy field, have fun! I'd come along and meet you at last but of course I can't drive for a little while, grrr. Also means I won't be able to pick OH up as he won't be able to cycle over as it's too windy

But it feels good to be able to get out there and make a difference.
OH agrees with you 100%! He's just spent an hour recovering after mowing the lawn :rotfl::eek: As soon as he'd recovered he gently prodded so that I went out and admired his handiwork :rotfl:Guess it's my turn to get out there and plant the herbs & flowering things we picked up for the garden. (Out of the grocery budget which has gone further thanks to red and yellow stickers, so very very MSE)
Zero spend for the lappie to be fixed is perfect! & even better that you did not lose anything!

You poor thing! I've never, ever been able to walk to a car boot, so I know exactly what you mean. I really hope you're not in pain, KK.
Yep, see my comments above - tho they're really popular here, its not often possible for me to get to them. I bought:Im so jealous of the car boot. Something that is not very popular here and if you do hear about one there usually miles away. Good luck and hope you bag some bargains.
green movement book, 20p - to give me more ideas for the website.
woollen bedside rug £3 - 100% wool. Its Ikea, but its actually woven in the nomadic style, which I learnt about in my long trip to Turkey, but the *design* is modern, which is the best of both worlds.
sweatshirt from Milletts £2 - I was going to buy one anyway, more or less in this shade, as I have very few summertime things, so this on its own saved me loads of money.
Christmas plate 50p - nothing I needed, but its M&S porcelain, lovely modern design, and it cost me pennies, so I couldn't resist.
DVD cases £1 - they had the first 12 episodes of Lost in them, but they're slimline, and I wanted to use them so some cased DVDs would take up less space (:o I've cut the labels in two, as they don't quite fit, but the DVDs I'm keeping were only bought at Cex anyway).
Very chuffed at that. I'm glad to get home, tho, and eat something, although its so pretty out there, its **cold** - but my shingles pain has gone, so I'm off into the garden soon, after a cuppa coffee.
It made my day not to lose anything, you're right! It made me laugh to hear of your OH wanting his handiwork to be admired :rotfl:but mind you, if I'd mowed the lawn, I'd want the sameOH agrees with you 100%! Good for you on finding garden stuff in the budget, and the stickers too - none of those for me today, but new version of oatcakes is still on half price intro offer at Sainsbo, so not bad in some ways.
Can't quite face going out and doing physical work yet. Coffee :coffee:coffeee :coffee:cofeeeeee:coffee:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Is that southern cold, or real cold? It's a little bit windier here now, but not a cloud in the sky and glorious in the sun.but my shingles pain has gone, so I'm off into the garden soon, after a cuppa coffee.
Why after? Why not during? It's what gardens are for, to sit in whilst supping...It made my day not to lose anything, you're right! It made me laugh to hear of your OH wanting his handiwork to be admired :rotfl:but mind you, if I'd mowed the lawn, I'd want the same
I mow my lawn, and there's no one to admire it. Except perhaps the neighbours who cancel the appointment with the BBC wildlife team...Can't quite face going out and doing physical work yet. Coffee :coffee:coffeee :coffee:cofeeeeee:coffee:

Ooh great bargains KC

I'm slowly collecting goods to do a car booty; it does scare me though, thoughts like 'what if no one buys anything & I have to bring it all home again' go through my head & put me off.
It's sunny but wild here today & yes Z, it is only warm in the sun
Perfect weather for laundry & kites.
Enjoy your day

Washing going out now. Hope it doesn't blow away and take the fence with it. There seems to be a lot wobbling out there!
