I have problems with mindmaps for exactly the opposite problem. They're far too linear. You start off with one root, then branch out from there, whereas I often need a number of roots with branches that merge as well as split.

Which sounds a bit more like a flow chart to me :D

A flow chart is too linear. The technical term is a directed graph, but I need sort of a mix between

    and

Flippin eck, that looks very technical :D

Think I will keep to my list making, with arrows going here and there :rotfl: On a really bad day I get out the sellotape and scissors to move stuff around!

Im lines of words with arrows and lines going all higgaldy piggaldy but making sense to me ( no one else understands it but hey thats ok i do )
  • I tried a mind map but ended up with pages of spiders :D.

I can do lists, which then need extra bits. I hope you find the inspiration to get extra money. I just need a quick fix for cash flow over the April/May until some govt and contract money comes in. Might have to go to mum for a business loan and offer to pay interest as no bank will help - crazy isnt it, I've found ways to be S/emp and survive but my financial past means I will be affected and rejected by banks much longer than I would actually need any help for IYSWIM.

Off to work on the garden (jungle) this afternoon, if I dont come back send out a search party

I think you're right about the two of us, El - more power to our elbow!

I've been out in the garden, with my face turned away from the sun, sadly, getting rid of as much of the buddleia as I can, and sort of deadheading one of the lavenders to help it grow. No way I could do a proper planting plan this year - its definitely a case of getting the bones of the garden the way I want it, then putting in the plants I brought with me, which are still sitting in their plantpots getting hungry ....

Yay to gardening and a bit of sunshine - gardens need at least a year of not much happenning to them to let them evolve - so you're doing yourself a favour by not doing too much too quickly!

    Well done!

Hope you sort a money plan - only skim read - sorry - full service post thesis hand in

Love mind map - but mine look like a wierd painting of modern liking when I do them!:rotfl:

    Morning!

Yeah to the gardening, fresh air and sunshine! - it's amazing how a little tidying in the garden makes it look a whole lot better!

I always find 'pottering' in the garden the best way to think out plans - the scent of the fresh earth & new growth on the plants seems to clear my head!

I haven't dared to go out there yet, trying to find my map, compass, axe and pack a picnic - I may be a while :D
