Oh I dream of that figure .. Very well done!!!! I know I am making things hard on myself by considering a job that will pay less and thus my MFW goals will take a while. But it will be a continuing goal!

    Onwards and upwards for you!!!

  • When we moved in, with mortgage of £100,000 I could not imagine being at this stage only some five years later. In fact I'm not really sure how we have done it????? (other than of course a very reasonable mortgage interest rate of 1.09%:j)We have redone the bathroom, kitchen, windows, fascias and soffits and a very
expensive garden fence during this time too:j

We have just found put that BIL is being made redundant (has a very well paid job at the moment) scared me to think any one of us could end up in the same situation, however it is comforting to know, for us we could (hopefully) cope with the lessons we have learnt on here.

    TPA x

PS have to agree with hubby the 4x4 looks lovely, but is deffo a want rather than a need!!

    Yeh Cinny, welcome x

Low interest rate or not, £90k in 5 years is a big achievement. You must have been averaging over £1500 a month. You've done amazingly.
    :T:T:T

    Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99

  • I feel a challenge coming on.....wonder how long before I fail it??
    :o
Not sure what it will be yet, but should probably involve less alcohol and using up whats in the freezer.

Am just off for a long walk with the dog, will have a think about it whilst in the rain and will get back to you later!

    Any suggestions welcomed.

  • OK challenges:

    1. No alcohol when working the following day
    2. £20 a week shopping until freezer empty
    3. More exercise, I can do this by taking poor dog for much longer walks no matter what the weather.

Hmmmm, wonder which one I will fail first:p;)

Well done you on getting into the £10s, thats a brilliant amount of over paying :j. We started on £100000 too and are heading slowly [too slowly] towards the £30000s after 7 years so you have done really well. Enjoy, PS does the dog know s/hes in the challenge ;)?
