  • OMG, I have amazing news:j

We are under the 10's!! Have done the maths for September 1st (no more DD to go before then) and the magic 'Mortgage minus Savings' figure is....................drum roll please.........

£9713.80:j:money::j:money:. Not sure if we can keep it at this level as we have the rest of our holiday to pay for, Christmas and spends on holiday.

    HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY TPA

Hooray!!!!!! Well done, TPA! You are SO close to your MFW goal :j
Borrowed £150,000 in an offset tracker mortgage in May 2007 - MFD May 2041 (67)

    Jan 2012 - £125,620.02 / 2,913.87 / Nov 2032 (58)
    Apr 2012 - £122,901.88 / 3,170.91 / Jul 2032 (58)
    Jul 2012 - £122, 589.02 / 3,507.99 / Sept 2032 (58)
    Oct 2012 - £120,476.31 / 3,889.42 / July 2032 (58)
  • Thank you both, seeing those figures is definitely the boost me and DH need, the last few months we have really taken our eye off the ball with regards spending, just at the point my ability for extra earnings has taken a nose dive. I supose this just goes to show the MFW gene just goes into hibernation rather than leaving completely...even when you think it has disappeared.:money:

All this said, hubby is currently in the Kia website looking at a top if the range £26k 4x4:eek:

When we moved in, with mortgage of £100,000 I could not imagine being at this stage only some five years later. In fact I'm not really sure how we have done it????? We have redone the bathroom, kitchen, windows, fascias and soffits and a very
expensive garden fence during this time too:j

We have just found put that BIL is being made redundant (has a very well paid job at the moment) scared me to think any one of us could end up in the same situation, however it is comforting to know, for us we could (hopefully) cope with the lessons we have learnt on here.

    TPA x

PS have to agree with hubby the 4x4 looks lovely, but is deffo a want rather than a need!!

    Yeh Cinny, welcome x
