Lol my docs have 'lost our contract to provide sexual health services' so I had to go to a specalist centre 15 miles away. I was told not to pee before I go for the appointment which I thought was odd. I got in, she fired some really wierd questions at me (including asking if I was a sex worker - damn me for wearing high heels!) then asked me to lay down so she could do my vaginal swab!!!! Turns out they'd booked me in for a STD check! So then I got a bit of a stroppy doctor who clearly wasn't expecting to do an implant this morning, but it was a lot better than last time although I won't stop bleeding, she's put a little bandage on me and a pad, but it's bled through that :S

OMG:eek::eek:OMG:eek::eek:OMG:eek::eek: I would have died! (although if they thought me and my body might be a sex worker it would have been hilarious!)(sp?)

I ended up going back to the doctors today as I had pins n needles all night and my upper arm is numb today:eek: My work collegue insisted I went back, she even drove me there:eek:. Doctor says it may have pinched a nerve...erm ok. Anyway its been re-dressed and she has asked me to go back next week....in 3 years I will be gettinghubby to have the snip, cannot be arfed fafed with this again.

yikes that doesn't sound good. I'd be getting him snipped now if his swimmers are neither use nor ornament, I feel like a whole other woman when I don't have hormones coursing through me.
    Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81
    Debt September 20th 2022 £2991.68- 96.92% paid off

  • My arm is still feeling very strange, still a bit numb but other than that just feels 'odd'.:(

Today has been a realy expensive day, hubbys car is going to cost £284 plus VAT, this just to fix the aircon:eek:. House insurance £226  Tesco shopping £63:eek:. Fencing is due to be done on Monday = £1750:eek::eek::eek:

Good, job i've been offered work for tomorrow - not that those wages will touch any of the enormous expenses:rotfl:

From what I understand, as my hubby is only 36 and has no children then doctors would be reluctant to 'snip him'. Also if anything ever happened to me and he met someone who really wanted a family..he may change his mind.

  • Lots has happened over the last few weeks.

Unfortunately mum has taken a turn for the worse:(
She is very confused, but I have to say she has a fantastically amazing imagination! Platypus, Cockatoos, Little People, you name them she’s got them living with her!

With this in mind I have made some major financial decisions. I have given up all the weekend work shifts that I was rostered on for, until September (am hoping that 3 months will give us the opportunity for either a care package in place or hopefully an improvement in health for my fantastic dear old mum) My Tuesday night work has finished this week and I won’t be looking for anything to replace it. I will still do some mystery shopping, but as and when and no where near the amount I have done previously.

Although all this adds up to a significant amount of money per month I think I can claw some of it back without making huge sacrifices. Our eating habits have been pants lately, no meal planning, lots of takeaways etc, which must be costing us a fortune. Also lunches; today I took my lunch to work for the first time in ages, this is pure laziness and easy to change.

We will probably not take a holiday this year, no biggy, I quite like home!

    In other money news:

    · Fencing is done, just waiting on two side gates – money ring fenced (pardon the pun) for this.
    · Two ISAs opened and fully funded with the dreaded Santander which were offering a guaranteed above base rate for 12 months. (One for me, one for him!)
    · Two new bank accounts opened to make use of the 5% interest for twelve months and Quidco money (£55 per account) plus £100 per account once everything is up and running. Again one for me, one for DH

Enough for now, will report back soon.

  • I am feeling very flat today (although am certainly looking round!) Am worried about what my beautiful mums future holds. If only I had a crystal ball.....or not......

Bought some Tesco meal deals for £4.07 today....(main, side, dessert and wine) thanks to the Grab it Thread...hubby is out tonight so I will treat myself to half a deal!

Had a look around the garden centre today but the prices were:eek::eek::eek:

I don't blame you for giving up on some work to be with her. It does not sound good for her. I thought she had got a bit better? Is she still under the hospital?

No, she has been out of hospital for some time now, she has had moments of confusion over the last few months (hospital aside) but has been totally confused since Friday last week :( I took her to an appointment with her 'Parkinsons' nurse on Tuesday, she reasured us that this IS part of the Parkinsons, however she needs to go on antipsychotic drugs, she needs to get an appointment with the Psychiatrist, don’t know how long an ‘urgent’ referral takes though.

Thank you Cha and Lois, for your thoughts
