Hey TPA
glad your mum is doing better, must be such a relief for you!
sorry about the leak - hope you can get it sorted so you can use the money for the same people that laid the floor before! frustrating when we shell out so much on insurance and then when it comes to using it its so much hassle!!
hope you have a good sunday

Part of the frustration is I want the exact same floor! So wont be any change from before, the decorating will be a very similar colour, just without the dog and cat paw marks around the door:rotfl:
Having my Mum bac k to her normal self is amazing, I am savouring every day (oh !!!!!! you made me cry!)

Pants to floor but yey to mumA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Evening all,
Its payday tomorrow an with all those extra hours it should look healthy:j
I decided to get my bum in gear and save some money (thanks to cha ) and also sort out some more junk.
SO yesterday on my day off I did my very best;
Took one large bag of stuff to the charity shop.:j
I phoned my mobile phone company to lower my monthly payment, trouble was I can lower it but then I cannot get my data allowance So I failed to save (EDIT:however I have just phoned again and they say I can lower it and keep the data - saving £10.53 a month:j)
Looked into changing broadband, BT have a package that would save us a few quid every month, had to ring our current broadband provider to get a MAC code, they then (after much wrangling) offered me three months free and a reduced fee of £8.50 per month rather than the £11.99 they currently charge me Happy days.....threaten to leave they discount :j
Finally got the insurance company to agree to pay for the damage, they are paying for the new flooring and rug, just need to find the £200 excess now
Am having a tough time deciding whether to carry on mystery shopping come April........I hate the tax return, hence its all or nothing. I seem to spend most evenings checking the different websites for work, diesel is so expensive a lot of the jobs are just not worth doing, I could lower my mobile phone package, instantly saving £17 a month (as I wouldn’t need the data allowance) however the occasional night out for free is good, the extra money that trickles into my account towards the end of every month is lovely, when we go out I try to pick up a job even if its small as it goes towards paying for the diesel we would be using anyway...... oh dear, It seems at least once a month a question MSing lately
Can we have a vote on what I should do please?????:o

- Well, how much net profit did you make last year?
- Was it worth it, bearing in mind part of the reason you are doing all this is to pay off your mortgage so you can help look after your mum?
- Maybe a little bit more time spent with her now rather than trying to cram in MS which tbh you don't seem to enjoy, would be a good compromise?
- You don't actually have that much mortgage left, so all you are talking about is shortening it by a few months which doesn't seem worth the stress.

GG since when did you become so sensible:p? You're right, I should enjoy the time I have with Mum now, the last month has certainly taught me that - why didn't it go into my head without you having to point it out though???:o
Nice bullets BTW!

I wonder why whenever you mention my name you either pretend you don't have a drink in your hand or you run round doing lots to earn money. My goodness, i must be scary.
Good work hon. I also would be tempted not to bother with the MS. If it is taking up that much time and not really that profitable then there is probably not much point.
Gallys point about spending the time with your mum is a great one. Or you could get back to the gym, or whatever else you wanted to do.0
