Hi there. Just a quick one from a long-time lurker!

My dad has got Parkinsons and he needed a minor op recently however his marbles disappeared too! They explained to us that it was just a reaction from the mix of drugs and he would return to normal once off the drugs and just taking his normal medication, he had trouble healing too as kept forgetting where he'd had the op and using the joint too much. After a few days at home (when he was very tired and quite confused but not a barking as he had been) he went back to normal. Hard seeing someone you love go through it but hopefully your mothers upset will pass too, my dad can't remember anything about it and thinks we're winding him up when we tell him some of the things he said. Hope the knee starts to heal soon.
Trying to do one positive thing (however how small) per day to be mortgage free/reduced and be frugal but still enjoy life!
    Debt LBM Feb 2010 = £7841.97/ now £0, MFW 2011 = £9k in savings
MFW target 2012 to save £11,000 for Over Payments/fill ISA's and reduce lots of things - outgoings, alcohol, waste, weight

Thank you so much fo sharing this with me, my beautiful Mum is being discharged today:j:j:jThe doctors have weighed up the effect on her mind v the effect on her knee and think it is more important to get her home - I think the next few days may be difficult but there is light at the end of the tunnel:D:D:):)

I'm so happy I could cry!!

Sorry you have had a rough week. Understandable you haven't been around here much in the circumstances .I hope you find some reassurance and comfort in what SAHM said. I know my dad went a bit doolally when he was in hospital and sedated, and my aunty did too. Both perfectly normal now. I think they just get weirded out with drugs in their system. Hopefully it won't take much longer for some improvement. :grouphug:

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
