Well the saga that is my disastrous life at the moment continues. Friday night we had a leak........it has ruined my much loved much saved for wooden floor in the hallway and living room.
We are insured but have a £200 excess and the insurance company 'crapsure' are being !!!!!!. They want their flooring people to put down a new floor and I want the original people who did the work to do it. One minute they say one thing, then the backside forgets what the !!!!!! has said and i'm told something different.
On Friday night they told us a plumber would be sent out that evening, he came Saturday morning; then on Saturday I was told I was not allowed to pull up the flooring until it had been inspected, they promised someone would phone me that day and come out to pull the floor to avoid any further damage. No one rang and I spent the day getting madder and madder.:mad:
On Monday I’m told……..FGS I’m boring myself now!:rotfl:
To cut the long and sorry story short (ish) they are sending a flooring firm round with a choice of flooring and cannot grasp that I want exactly the same type of flooring put down.
Oh well to add to the spends I have bought tickets to see We Will Rock You on Friday night……..ops that £65 and diesel costs….oh well I’m working on Sunday – easy come easy go!:p
Off to nosy at everyone else’s diaries!

I thought most policies do like for like replacement. My goodness. I hate wrangling for what you are entitled to. We have never ever claimed for anything on ours as i guess most people don't yet you get so much grief for a genuine claim. What leaked?
Hope you get to calm down as i bet that level of fuming did not do much for your blood pressure. Keep on at them till you get what you want.0 -

I went to see We Will Rock You a few years ago...brilliant :cool:MFW 2011 No. 161 £946.54/£2000 TargetApril 9/15March 14/15

We really enjoyed We Will Rock You, personally I thought the 2nd half was much better than the firstbut hubby thought it was all brilliant.
We had a chap out to quote for our flooring today - sent by the insurance company, cheeky !!!!!! was trying to hoodwink us into beleiving we had no choice and had to go with him! If I understand correctly the insurance company will only pay a maximum of whatever he quotes but we can take the money and pay our own fitters, the fact that he quoted more than our local company just made me :rotfl::rotfl:Plonker!
Looks like our rug is also 'cernakered' so thats another £120:mad:
Just as well i'm working tomorrow really!
WE are going to have the living room re painted whilst we are in uproar, might as well make good of a bad situation.
Today I remembered to put the slow cooker, so we had savioury mince and mash pots for tea tonight:o.
