  • Just my two cents, given most economists seem to think interest rates are going to rise soon for my money I'd be paying off the morgage rather than having it in savings, if you have a few weeks delay after the rate rises that could well and truely cancel out any small interest gains now.

My thoughts exactly, we will keep the other ISA that currently pays 2.5% as emergency savings, but other than that I think we should just throw it all at the mortgage and make the most of the very lucky low interest rate that is still with us.
TPA, I wouldn't worry about the 'new' implanon, they just made it smaller and slightly rebalanced the hormones, still works the same way. I'm jelous of it stopping your TOTM all together, it makes mine worse! Getting mine taken out soon, I have no idea what method to go onto.

Aw I know I have been so lucky with mine, I bet it won't happen the second time round though. As for you....reading your diary I would have thought taking the 'wait and see what happens option' might work;)

Have just phoned about my ISA to withdraw the funds, will have to nag hubby to do his later:o

the money from your previous ISA does not count as new money from April, you need to open an account that allows transfers in, you then give them all your information and they will arrange the withdrawel from one account to another - do not withdraw yourself or you lose the benefits! You can have different ISA providers but only one per year .... I think! HTH

You can have two - one which you find with 'new money' and one with transfers in. Usually that's the best option as the new ones offer the best rates but don't allow transfers in. However, I had a look this morning and Nationwide accepts transfers in and is only 0.2% off the best so I think I will just go for that.

  • Had a dream last night that i was 41 years old, we had paid off the mortgage and paid for, with cash, to have a small downstairs extension including a loo!!! We extended the kitchen to have a big squishy sofa where I could curl up with my music and a book:D

I am really pipped off today, I purchased two Groupon deals for large canvas' for the living room, I should be able to put my own pictures on them online, was going to do do one of each pet....sad I know. Anyway I have been unable to use the codes since they came through. Groupon are being pants, never answer the phones or emails:mad: I really hope I haven't lost £60 over this.

  • Well the Groupon thing may have been resolved, I am a friend of theres on f/b, so everytime they posted I commented how I was having problems and could never get hold of them, they eventually rang and said they would refund me in full....I won't hold my breath but fingers crossed (they have sent me an email confirming the refund)

Our poor doggy had another fit tonight, he had one last night also so we had to take him to the vets, he may have to go on medication but for the weekend we just have to keep an eye on him and see how things go.

Pester power it certainly was, as quick as I was posting my comments they were deleting them, they forgot about the power of 'copy n paste' which is what I kept doing! I kept it factual so I couldn't get in trouble and fairly calm!:rotfl:

The dog has had the fits a couple of times before...althought then we did not realise exactly what they were. This time he has had them two days running. Will just have to wait n see what happens from now on:(

I love it. The patient woman will always win. Well done on that.

I remember the dog doing that last year. Poor thing. I hope it is nothing serious.
  • I hope i'm not tempting fate but the dog is ok today, had a bit of a 'funny' in the car but nothing major.:)

Found a deal on photobox for canvas'. They are buy one get one free until the 7th. £7.07 cashback from TCB so I am better off than the Groupon deal (they are a little smaller but thinking about it, they should suit the space better):D

Did an MS today totally out of my comfort zone ...... I know, I wasn't going to do any but they phoned me last night and I was caught off guard. Anyway it went ok....I hope but know I have almost £90 worth of 'war game' stuff to get rid of:eek: The assignment notes say they will pay for the items upto a certain figure, but I don't know anyone that plays them.....not suprising at that cost:eek: Oh well it seems that I might need to hit ebay.

Also went ot work today...just as well we may have some rather large vets bills coming up:eek:
