    Morning all!
Still feeling rubbish but have stuff to do so no more wallowing in germs for me.

Have already taken the very patient dog for a nice medium sized walk to try to clear the cobwebs for both of us - just resulted in me being exhausted and about 3 saved up poos from him (bless him!).

    Today's list of jobs...
    • Mark year 11 books - will take ages:mad:
    • Spent 70p on a can of pop this morning so no NSD but need the caffeine
    • Take Xmas tree down
    • Put dry washing away
    • Maybe do one wash (jeans etc)
    • Pop to local M&S for vouchers for Mum's birthday and some cards
    • Write year 7, 8 and 9 lessons for this week - about 2 hours work I think
    • Phone mum
    • Try to be nice to OH - I've been like a bear with a sore head (literally!) for a few days
    • Watch the darts tonight
    • Updated spends
    • All food from stores
That's all for now - off to blow my nose again!

Stitching Witch - sorry to hear you had such a nasty surprise. It must make it even worse when you thought you had things under control then you get this out of the blue. I hope you manage to get things sorted out. (((Hugs)))

I had quite a good day yesterday, although it didn't turn out to be a NSD.

    Today I will:
    • Check online banking and update spreadsheet; - Done
    • Transfer £50 from joint account to cover groceries I bought from my personal account; - Done
    • Make lunch and dinner from storecupboard supplies; - Done
    • Do a meal plan for this week;
    • Send off three old mobile phones for recycling; - Packaged up ready to be posted
    • Photograph & list some ebay items (OH helping with this!); - 13 items photographed; 4 now listed (will do the others tomorrow)
I think that's it for now. Have a great day everyone!

    * Look on ebay for wool - learning how to knit!

Woo, we have a new knitter among us! :D Good stuff. The best book I used when learning to knit is called Stitch and B!tch - diagrams are great. And you tube has some fab videos - The Knit Witch does some great ones. And the Knitters Thread on the OS board is also a lovely place. Oh, and Ravelry.com - best source of free patterns I know.

...erm, sorry about that... Got a bit over excited about the whole knitting thing there :o

    Morning all

Welsh you're making me feel bad, those blasted year 12 essays are still winding me up. Going to invoke the 15 min rule to get them started.

I also got on the scales today, I've put on 5lb  so need to cut back to make sure my nice new coat is not too small for me.

    Today I will
    • Do the weeks shop to get stuff for packed lunches done
    • Use some coupons at Mr T's to cut cost. done
    • Cook food from stores for lunch and dinner done
    • Bake some sugarless and fatless cake to help curb the sugar cravings over the next week or so
    • Fit the energy monitor that I got free from NPower just before I left them half done, my meter is too far from my flat to register, need to call helplinedone
    • Read a little
    • Change the bed sheets done
    • Hoover done
    • Tidy/polish done
    • Buy car shampoo so I can wash the bird poop off my car rather than take it to the car wash. Remind me not to wash my car before I go to Folkestone again. those ##@@@&&~~ seagulls :lipsrseal done
    • Year 12 essays yet again
    • I may, just may, manage to talk myself into going for a run too

    Have a good day all
  • Morning  woofer I'm determined its mind over matter with my germs too. Only 2 more days off and I'm not going to waste them in bed!

  • Right then, Been on the Brit$h Ga$ website and checked all my previous statements. On the most recent one it states that we have used 11672kWh from 31/12/09 to 30/12/10. Based on this level of consumption our estimated bill for 2011 would be £1192.86.

How on earth does this make £159 a month??:mad:

I know, they then gain the interest in their bank then "refund" me later in the year. Oh no they don't! They get a phone call tomorrow morning and they will be told I won't play that game.

    Sorry, rant over! :D
