HI,
To save money today I:
Made bread (mum gave me the ingredients as she wasn't going to use them so it cost me nothing)
Mended the hem on a skirt
Went for a walk to the park with hubby, son and dog (free entertainment - the dig chased squirrels and our son chased the dog so everyone happy!)
I will also:
Check the survey sits I use
Fix the hem on a pair if trousers

Evening all! Not hungover but have the worst cold ever - even managed to convince myself I had swine flu this morning:o
Have no energy and no motivation but plenty of sneezes and sniffing so not a lot done today.
I have managed to...- Give dog 2 short walks - poor pooch but he's being very good, funny how they know when you're not well
- Done one load of washing
- Popped to Mr T for cold meds and did the shop while there - £40 from a £50 weekly budget so quite happy with that
- Put dry washing away
- Checked banks
- Ordered mum's birthday present for disabled sister
- Sat on settee for 3 hours watching darts (must be ill!)

A mixed day for me today; started well but has just changed tack somewhat!
So far today:- checked banking
- checked for surveys
- fed and watered chickens and collected two eggies
- went to DD's for family dinner and swap presents etc so free food
- checked on-line electricity bill and they're changing my direct debit from £80pm to £159pm :eek::eek:
- panic!!!!
I already had regrets about spending so much on my new glasses yesterday and the new electricity payment has made me feel quite sick.

Stitchy - the water people did the same with me last week - £21 a month to £230 a month!
Several irate phone calls later and they've put it back and decided it was an errant reading - worth a check?
Fingers crossed for you. xx0 -
Happy New Year!!!
Today I have...
- prepared my budget and financial goals for 2011
- got a letter inviting me for an interview to do the PCGE course, scary career change but very excited about that!
-got home after Christmas and realised how lucky I have been and how much I have and do not need anything
- received some money from my dad : ) Will pay in check this week
Eaten too much as has been the case for the past few weeks : (

Ring them and ask if it's correct? Tell them you simply cannot afford this much more; if it has to go up then agree on a set amount

thanks for the info on the hoover Erme i'm looking for a new one. i'd prefer one of the smaller pull along ones just because of the size etc but just don't know what to get. We have pets so i want a really good one.

i've checked my accounts
i need to make the bathroom shiney
make the kitchen shiney
make chicken roast with the reduced price chicken i bought and froze on christmas eve.
DW run overnight in cheap leccy.
First NSD of this month. (i'm assuming all the shops are shut but i don't really know to be honest.)
No hangover here as we're teetotal. Plus OH was in work at 8 this morning.
Happy New Year everyone.
You'd be better off with a decent miele (£150 upwards) cos this one is like an elephant (huge - man size) and heavy
