A mixed day for me today; started well but has just changed tack somewhat!

    So far today:
    • checked banking
    • checked for surveys
    • fed and watered chickens and collected two eggies
    • went to DD's for family dinner and swap presents etc so free food
    • checked on-line electricity bill and they're changing my direct debit from £80pm to £159pm :eek::eek:
    I will also:
    • panic!!!!
When I did my budget a few days ago I actually made a comment on here saying we'd be okay provided there were no big price increases :( I already had regrets about spending so much on my new glasses yesterday and the new electricity payment has made me feel quite sick.

Can't you ask for a social tarriff or something? Just a thought? If it's that bad and that much of your income then you may be entitled..it varies from company to company but the worst they can say is no?

    Just a thought hun...((((((((((((((((((((((((((Stitchy)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

Yesterday potered about and then went for nice expensive dinner in town, home by 10.45pm

Today I have been to work
    - Free lunch and snacks today, I won't bother with dinner as I am not hungry
    - Clothes ordered in sale arrived, I have ordered the incorrect size in one, so I will return this.
    - Need to set up gas and electric on the new house, I will do this tomorrow.
    - Listed some bits on ebay, a couple have bids which is good news will use this for mortgage overpayment
    - Need to check CC and see how much is on it, I have made a payment but I have got lost with some Chirstmas shopping I put on it.
  • Today i have :

    Checked my online banking
Done my shopping online - spending £68 :j usually always around £85 mark!!
    Done my weekly meal plan
    Made bread

not too bad for first attempt :rotfl:

    Hi all,

Not posted for ages but have been reading most days and keeping up with my small things. Happy new year to you all. Let's hope it's happy and heathly all round :j

    Over the weekend I have/will:

Small shop at mr t from list. Walked to save petrol get fresh air and limit the amount I can carry;)
    Moved some money around
Made a third overpayment this month to CC:D
Update sig, DF by yesterday didn't happen but it was a life choice. Still have managed to pay nearly 90% of our debt off this year, excluding mortgage, and whilst on maternity leave!
    Tidy round
Washing on low, dry on airer
    Take decs down
Sort some clothes that came in sale, couple need to go back
Write January birthday cards, deliver a couple locally whilst out and
    about tomorrow:D
Continue to read Jamie O book and work in to meal plan for next week based on what I have in stores and only buy small necessities.

Think that's about all. Have a great weekend everyone :)

No hangover for me this morning , only had a couple of glasses of wine :T. I dread to think how much weight I have put on over the holiday though, and there is still tons of rubbish left over still to eat  Why / how did I buy so much?

    Today I have:

Checked online banking - still no sign of missing cheques. I will have to go in to the branch first thing Tuesday morning before work to try to sort it out

Small shop at Mr S - didn't need much.

HM meals from stores - I am determined to get to the bottom of the freezer. Venison, bacon and mushroom pie tonight - yum!

Gifted some of my stupendous collection of frozen damsons to a couple of Freecyclers - who needs 3 carrier bags full of damsons when we are only the two (or 3, see below :() of us and I have already passed on loads to friends and family? I have already made the jam, chutney etc before anyone asks :rotfl:

Done some New Year type things like recycling Christmas cards and old calendar (and putting up new - free - one)

Took dogs for nice walk with OH to get away from my brother who is still staying and doing our heads in. He just turns up every now and then and stays for a year or so :rotfl:. He is basically homeless and will do absolutely nothing to sort himself out. Spends all his money on smoking and gambling . I tell myself that he has 'issues' and needs support - but he still drives us nuts :( The trouble is he is 55, takes no responsibility for anything, and is unlikely to get much better now .

Well, no point moaning, off to bed soon as telly tonight is total rubbish!

    Good Morning,

Up early body clock is still in a different time zone. Today have or will

    - Looked a money for the next month, things are going to be tight but do able.
    - CC is higher than expected, so I have removed from my wallet and have set up a payment for next month.
    - Off to the gym today
    - Take skirt back, I ordered the wrong size:(
    - Used hailfax reward money to overpay mortgage.
    - Store cupboard meals, planned for today and tomorrow.
    - Will drop into town and get reduced wrapping paper and Chirstmas cards for next year.
  • After the shock of yesterday's electricity DD increase I really need to focus on the 'small things'.

    So far I have:
    • run DW on Economy 7
    • fed and watered the chickens and let them out to free-range
    • put gammon in the slowcooker for dinner
    I will also:
    • have all meals from stores
    • freeze apple cores and peel for 'compost heap jelly'
    • have an NSD
Not much really is it? I think I've just lost all enthusiasm :o
