    _party_ Happy New Year and thanks for sharing the journey of good habits and ideas everyone

    Today I'm going to:
    * put washing on
    * unpack and put away new microwave (treated myself to a Mr A special deal as our old one was over 25yrs old and the paint was falling off inside :eek:)
    * ring tesco for duplicate receipt for faulty item as I didn't do that yesterday.
    * sort out RM postings
    * tidy up a bit
    * look at elec and gas consumption details as I'm at the end of my deal.

    Well the snooze is I've tested the Bosch (the one that gave the OD a heart attack) and it has suction so powerful it could pull ya brains out of their lug oles...

    Beasties be gone ......

    Hair be gone too (I have no pets but a lot of hair and it gets everywhere - in clumps) - at this rate I could join the flylady thread tee hee

    and that was only on no 3 - on no. 5 it sucks up the carpet ...

    Anyone need their carpet pulling up for new year? I have the perfect tool...wonder if it also takes wall paper off or even paint....then it'd be perfect :)...complete bargain for £149...

    Only one minor snag with it (which took me 15 mins min to fix) was putting the bin on (I had to push it in the end after I'd almost bashed it broke :eek) but that's okay now....even the hose is easy to dismantle.. yet secure (clip on things) and the nozzle thing at the end is flat so reaches right under the sofa ... It's a minor point about the bin

    Here endeth my MSE review of the white one on the Bosch GS-60 Power Range....(vacuums)

    Not bad for a cylinder......really?

    In fact so glad I didn't waste £80 on lesser uprights (think electrolux...)

    PS...I now have a blister on my hand from this hoover - the suction is that powerful ...

    Today I will:
    • Put on washing machine; - set to come on overnight on Economy 7, also DW set to do same
    • Have a NSD - not planning to go out so should be easy; - Done (except for OH buying chinese for dinner)
    • Do some more decluttering and find more ebay-able items; - priced up some ebay items. I have an old phone that may bring £70+ and some other saleable items so it should be a valuable source of extra cash for January
    • Find or make a 'Sealed Pot' for the 2011 sealed pot challenge;
    • Make lunch & dinner from supplies; - Lunch from cupboard stores - got Chinese for Dinner as I slept all afternoon I was so tired from NYE :o
    • Check on-line banking; - Done
    • Update finance spreadsheets; - Done
    I have neglected to keep my finance spreadsheets up to date recently and it has had a negative effect on my spending. I have a One Account so the mortgage is all thrown in with my current account, which can make it a bit complicated to keep track of my finances. That has to be my main 2011 resulotion.

    Have a great day all! Off to find that late lunch....

    hi everyone
    thanks for the info on the hoover Erme i'm looking for a new one. i'd prefer one of the smaller pull along ones just because of the size etc but just don't know what to get. We have pets so i want a really good one.

    i've checked my accounts
    i need to make the bathroom shiney

    DW run overnight in cheap leccy.
    First NSD of this month. (i'm assuming all the shops are shut but i don't really know to be honest.)

    No hangover here as we're teetotal. Plus OH was in work at 8 this morning.

    Happy New Year everyone.
