Morning folks
How can it be Monday already?!?!
I've had a quiet pottery weekend really. I went to work on Saturday (breaking my NSD for Saturday by being tempted by the Giant Tunnocks Wafer in the vending machine. It was good though!) and by the time I got home I was shattered so had a nice long afternoon nap
We then had a very frugal tea - fish my dad caught, tatties and peas. I think that it must have been under £1 cost for the two of us as the fish was free and we only used a small amount of tatties from a bag that cost £1. Felt quite proud of that one
Yesterday I went to see Tangled with a friend and can highly recommend it. It's really funny. It's also the fourth film I've seen in eight days, so I'm definitely getting my money's worth from the film pass this month!
Money
PAD/Spends - £83
Entertainment - £32.99
Groceries - £96.55
ISA - £776.92
VSP - £176.94
Purse - £47
I'm trying to use cash this week and not to use my card unless I'm buying something online. It seemed to work quite well for me last week and focus my mind on what I was buying. I'm only going to need a few essentials from the shops hopefully, so I'm hoping to have some money left over at the end of the week.
Don't let The Mondays get you!

I've spent a bit today but on essentials really. I bought better-than-half-price deodorant to keep at work as it's really hot in the office and I don't want to be a Sweaty BettyI also got some half price pears in Morrisons. I bought a new pen from WH Smith - it was £2.09 which is a lot, but I only needed one colour and the multipack was nearly nine pounds  I think I'm better replacing them as an when I need them.
My only other expense today was £5.10 (BAH!) on eyedrops as I seem to have another eye infection. I have no idea what's causing this, but think I'm going to have to throw out my mascara and sterilise my brushes. Double bah.
Hope everyone has had a better Monday than me

Sorry to hear about your eye infection, but well done to everything else!
My day has been very lazy - don't think I've done much worth listing to be proud of.

Hopefully I can repay it in much less time though although I need to remember that the flat I have in Edinburgh isn't my Forever Home anyway so reducing it as much as I can before I need a new mortgage is a good idea and will get me into good habits0 -

I'd agree with that. And if you in a good enough position you could later keep the Edinburgh home and rent it out and get another one wherever else...if you are a very good cow! Please call me 'Pickle'

There's a two/three bedroom house in the Homeland which has been for sale for ages which is £150,000 and is a detached property. It's not a huge amount of money, but would be out of my reach without a job up there which is pretty hard to find. For now it's a dream, but one day....0
