Payday today wohooo! So far I have paid £15.05 (odd number I know but it rounds the total left to pay to £60!) off my Kays account, and I have stashed £12 into my newly started fund that will enable me to be able to afford my £142 fees I have to pay yearly to work as a pharmacy technician :o.

That brings todays PAD total to £27.05!

Eyebright, if you are working as a pharmacy technician at the moment, have you checked if you can get tax relief on the fees you have to pay? If these fees are to a professional body like a Royal College or Chartered Institute type of body then you can get tax relief and have it backdated for previous years as well. Check on the HMRC website www.hmrc.gov.uk and search under professional subscriptions, and if the body you pay your fees to are listed then drop a line to your tax office, quoting your national insurance number and the full name of the body with the amount you have paid each year and you'll get a bit back - not all the fees but anything helps. Sorry if I'm teaching you to suck eggs:o

After lurching from 1 disaster to another over the last 12 months, I'm finally able to take some control.

To help me focus, i'm climbing back on the PAD wagon. I need to focus on my utility bills 1st and then start on the debt.

A very tall mountain to be climbed, but for the sake of me and my boys, I will do it.

£3 to gas and electric, please.

Aw thank you FF. I'm ok. I've had a very testing and difficult year. There are some big changes ahead but i'm ready!

In the meantime, I need to get back on track with overpaying / clearing debts. I just need to be patient.

How are you? So glad you're still on here - looks like you're doing soooo well. I always loved your determination and ability to stay focused. Will have to catch up on your threads at some point.
