50p for me please to savings. That will probably be it til Tuesday, as my account is a nice round number now and I need to withdraw the cash - my children are like money vacuum cleaners! One step at a time0 -
Hi all, back again.
I had to buy a new washing machine last week, which I put on the credit card meaning to pay off over twelve months....however as it was only £276 I should be able to pay that off in two months, if not one!
Payment today: £6 (my next door neighbour appears to have ran our window cleaning man out of town, so the money I put aside for him last month has gone towards Project Washing Machine)
£6 / £276Start Date: 27/11/2010
Padding: Day 42
Target £8000
Amount: £562.230 -
£1.34 to my ISA please0

Eyebright, if you are working as a pharmacy technician at the moment, have you checked if you can get tax relief on the fees you have to pay? If these fees are to a professional body like a Royal College or Chartered Institute type of body then you can get tax relief and have it backdated for previous years as well. Check on the HMRC website and search under professional subscriptions, and if the body you pay your fees to are listed then drop a line to your tax office, quoting your national insurance number and the full name of the body with the amount you have paid each year and you'll get a bit back - not all the fees but anything helps. Sorry if I'm teaching you to suck eggs:o
Hi, thank you for posting, I was kind of aware that I could get some tax relief for it. I'm extremely grateful for the information of exactly where to look!
This is the first year where it has been mandatory for us to have to register and I applied earlyier this month. There is a back-log on the applications as everyone waited until the last minute to do it! :rotfl:
The upshot of this is that I haven't gone onto the register yet and am waiting for all my 'gumf' to come through the post. Once it has I will then apply for the tax relief. I agree every little bit helps, and I can put what I get back towards next years fees lol0 -
Oops forgot to add £50 to my 'saving for a deposit for a house' fund please
Have also got £135 in my paypal account to go in there, but until I actually transfer it I will leave it off!
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend. Bit grey and glum here0 -
