Hello All! I am new to the site (just joined yesterday!), and have been browsing the forums since then!
Anyways I like the idea of making payments little and often towards getting rid of debts early, so I would love to join you all if you will have me :)

I've finally pulled my head out of the sand and decided to actively tackle mine and my OH's debts, and to start saving towards a deposit for a house. Rent money just seems a big waste of my hard earned cash!

Am in the process of transferring the CC debt onto a 0% card found here on MSE, so that every penny we pay actually goes towards reducing the debt and not on interest!

Feeling very positive at the moment, have worked out a budget which allows me to make payments towards everything and leaves to money to put in the savings account. Sorting out things to sell on ebay, and have made a sealed pot. Plan to put any 50p pieces I get into it, as well as any leftover cash I have in my purse at the end of each week, (I'm budgeting £50 a week to live on- bus fare, sweets, cinema tix, lunch at the pub on Friday etc!).

Now I just need to get the OH onboard too! Sorry for the ramble, but I kinda wanted to introduce myself! It's payday for me tomorrow so I will make a PAD then. Can't today as I'm skint.:o

Thanks for the tip Erme, I will be sure to be big, bold and colourful when I make my first pad tomorrow! Thank you for the welcome, very much looking forward to contributing to the running totals. I realise my debt's aren't the biggest in the world but I would much rather be rid of them anyway! :D

Back with a further PaD of £100 ;) Am now venturing out of my comfort zone as this is usually the buffer amount that sits quietly in my main current account, minding it's own business, yet preventing me from having palpitations at the sight of a zero balance on there :o.
However the payment date for the first cc that funded the gas guzzler transfer is on Monday and although I had accepted that I would make up any outstanding balance from my ISA ~ I am now being bl**dy minded and don't want to forfeit the interest so am scrabbling around to get enough money together to pay it. Fortunately it is payday tomorrow so that will soothe my ruffled feathers temporaily ~ then when the second cc is due to be paid at the beginning of July, I shall prop up any shortfall there by using my 2 x £250 interest/fee free overdrafts (thanks F*rst D*rect oh how I love you :smileyhea) and then PaD to those over until they're clear. No interest paid + no interest lost = happy saorsie!

Apologies for the lengthy post ~ just wanted to get it clear in my head really
