Hi all, just my usual £1 today.

Off out for lunch with friends and looking forward to it. :D
Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £11,174, Car loan 2 £5,532, CC 0% BT £780. Debt Free Diary to try & keep spending in check.
  • No PADs here I'm afraid. My money saving hasn't been so great of late.
I wanted a ticket to see my local team play at Manchester United in the cup. The only way I could guarantee getting a ticket was to buy a half season ticket because season, and half season, ticket holders are being given priority. They sold about 300 season tickets in one day apparently. Good marketing that.

So that's £127 for the half season ticket.
    £41 for the match ticket.
    £30 for the coach ticket.

    Ouch !!

Funny how money can be found when there's something I really want to do. To pay for it, I paid the remainder of my tax bill with a credit card. Naughty.
The half season ticket isn't as bad as it sounds though.
I would have gone to some of the remaining home games anyway. I'll just go to more of them now to make sure I get my money's worth
:D . It also works out that the individual games are cheaper when you pay that way.
I will pay for it by having no more chocolate until next Christmas (starts to well up in tears).
On the plus side, I'm being treated to a curry tonight in a fairly nice place where they really do know how to make curries properly. Even many of the local Asian community eat there so I guess it must be good.

So I have fallen off my wagon bigtime.
Mind you, the above - plus a one week holiday in the Summer - will be my only treats this year. (Well I might get some sex too if I'm really lucky but that's free anyway).
