  • Hi everyone
    A NSD today :j:j

Feeling a bit pants today - have had a dry niggly throat since Monday and been feeling a bit sick today. I have the start of a cold and I don't like it one bit

I posted the last of my eBay items today and have positive feedback for everything so far. Also, one of the items I relisted has a bid against it so am happy with that too :D

My half day at work tomorrow :T, Will be doing my good deed for the week - My Gran's food shopping (I do this every week, means I don't get moaned at for not visiting and she gets her shopping!!) as she is 90 years old

The throat thing sounds like exactly what I had.....lasted several weeks on and off but never developed into anything more - whether because it just didn't, or because I hit it with the VitC and Echinacea combo I don't know. I'm hopeful that being out and about in the fresh air more now might mean that come next winter my immune system is a bit stronger so I don't grab every cold going!

You're doing fantastically on the NSD front - I've slipped a bit this week and only achieved two (thank you so much for reminding me that eBay postage doesn't count by the way!) But still have another ten days of month to hit my target. :D

    Thanks EH
My stomach doesn't like Echinacea, made me feel really sick when I tried it.
I take Multi Vitamins, Vitamin C and D and they have helped me loads, I've normally had 3/4 colds by this time in the winter - this is the 1st "illness" of the winter really for me.

I have had another thought for my eBay money - pay for my travel to Cardiff, which I think you may be the only one who will relate too that one!!! :D
Accomodation already sorted, just flights or trains to sort!!

Echinacea is one of those odd things which some people simply can't tolerate I think.

Cardiff travel - good plan! :D Where you staying this year?

  • Hi Everyone
I am shattered - I am sitting babysitting one of the kids from work as I type this, I got up at 6am thinking I would make myself some pasta and a sauce of some type guess what?!! No bl00dy sauce in the house so that idea went out the window. I picked up a can of soup instead, BUT that meant I could have had an extra half hour in my bed this morning

Anyway - Other than that I've had a busy day, although been freezing all day,(I have feet like ice cubes just now :() think its a mixture of the weather and this damn cold I have.

On the money front - another NSD :j:j
Babysitting tomorrow night as well and only 7 sleeps until payday :T
    No other news today!
    Have a great weekend all

Well done on the NSD! I stupidly put my bank card in my purse today and "treated" myself to a £4 dvd and £3odd on lunch on the way to work, not something I want to repeat :o

That's a long day for you, when do you finish babysitting?

I'd taken to making up batches of my homemade pizza/pasta sauce then freezing them in individual sandwich bags so they could just get thrown in the deep-freeze in little spaces, I should really start doing that again so when I'm peckish I can bung it in the micro.

    Hope your cold's better soon!
